So it lost it's oil pressure because the block threads were crack, the crank was loose.
I have a good OM605 complete block, 400 euros if you are interested and i can post it to Germany.

Do you measure how much runout on that crankshaft now before you scrap it? Just for giggles...Looks like you were getting very close to a "catastrophic malfunction".

Thanks for making the vid - What Rods did you use? My 541bhp/548ft-lbs 606 is starting to vibrate a bit so she's coming out this year. I would like to build an engine with some Chinese H Beam rods etc. PS - I have had great success with a single stage W/M for keeping it cool.

Hoffentlich geht es besser mit dem neuen Motor. Wie alt war der harmonic balancer? Ich hab das Deutsche Word vergessen 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Ich habe etliche Detroit und Caterpillar Dieselmotoren gesehen wo die Kurbelwellen gebrochen sind wegen dem, ist es Schwingunsdämpfer?

Bist du dir sicher, dass du nicht vllt. Das wuchten der kurbelwelle verkackt hast🤔 ich als dummer elektroniker könnt mir vorstellen das du die risse wegen zu hohen vibrationen vom schwingungsdämpfer ausgehend hattest und dann eine kettenreaktion nach hinten gestartet hat😅

Solche Schäden kommen 100%ig nicht von Schwingungen oder Unwuchten. Die 5 zyl Kurbelwelle taumelt und vibriert egal auf welchen Wuchtfaktor du sie wuchtest. Aber ist logisch dass Leute das nun als Ursache in Betracht ziehen
