I think this footage does a great job showing the behind the scenes police work you don't get to see on Cops. The officer spends most of his time on the phone trying to figure out what is appropriate to charge the suspect with. Police Description is below 👇.
Please make sure to comment if you learned something from this!
"09/12/2021 4:31am SOUTHFIELD, MI - Officers were dispatched to the 19000 Block of Mahon Dr. for an unknown male sleeping on the front porch of the R/P’s mothers house. The male was described as a black male wearing a red shirt and jeans. R/P advised the house is her mother’s and she was coming over to take care of her this morning. When she arrived at the house there was an unknown male sleeping on a patio chair on the front porch. She did not know who the male was.
Officers approached the subject and observed his pants were lowered and his hands were down his pants. Officers attempted to wake the subject up. He looked up and then fell back asleep. Officers patted the subject down and recovered a handgun down in his crotch area. There were some loose rounds also in his pants pocket. Officers recovered these items and then attempted to wake the subject up. Officers were eventually able to wake the subject up. He was intoxicated. The subject did not have a CPL and had several Southfield Warrants. He was taken into custody for CCW"

Actually, you must inform the officer(s) that you are invoking your right to remain silent. Remaining completely mute does not automatically establish that you are invoking that right.
Familiarize yourself with the law! Look up Terry Stops (Terry v. Ohio, 1968).
A basic understanding of your rights in your state is the best weapon we have against bad/poorly educated cops!
This channel is fantastic and I also recommend Audit the Audit for a blow by blow commentary of police interactions with understandable legal references. Stay safe out there.

This reminds me of getting drunk as a teenager and a group of us walked from one friend’s house a few blocks down to where another friend had just moved into a new house, and I was leading the pack up to the front door of what I thought was the right house and then walked on inside into the living room and sat down before another guy walked out of a different room and into the living room where I then realized I was in the wrong house and my friend lived next door lol. Dude was super cool about it, I immediately jumped up and heading back outside, apologizing like crazy, and then headed next door to my friends where everyone laughed about it. We ended up becoming pretty good friends with the neighbor guy and hung out with him all the time and it was a funny harmless story in the end, but for some reason this video reminded me of that and I haven’t thought about it in years and years. @Cece You do know that statistically MOST encounters go this way. Way way way wayyyyy more than bad ones. But only the bad ones get attention so you know how that makes it look.
And if you have ever seen actual bodycam footage of one of these "bad encounters" you will know the sad truth that its mostly the person being arrested that acts like its for NO REASON. Gets angry, doesnt comply to direct commands. Dont keep their hands in clear line of sight for police. Now it doesnt matter to police if you are black white purple or whatever the FK. You will get shot and die realllll quick if you dont listen.
Sure there are some cases where the cop is some racist bastard having some narciscistic power trip. But in reality most of the bad encounters arent the cops choosing to handle that way, but rather being put in the spot to do so.
And yes, it has everything to do with this man being KNOCKOUT drunk. Even if they were bad they couldnt do anything against a man that isnt even awake. Maybe if he was sober he would be one of those people that doesnt comply and ends up getting shot. He did after all:
Have a warrant out for him.
      Be publicly drunk.
Carry a gun without permit on him.
Trespassing on someones home property with all of the above.

I absolutely agree with you. Most cops give you back the attitude you give them first. So if you are chill and comply fully with their orders, they are going to be chill with you. Sure, there are some power drunk cops out there that are plain arseholes no matter what. But then every profession has its arseholes. This guy was to drunk/high to give them any trouble.

I was 19 at the time and that day still triggers me. The officer was wrong, he didn’t apologize or even give me a ticket or anything. @@villelouis31 in Michigan (where this takes place) you have to a license with you to carry a firearm and the man was intoxicated. Since he was very heavily under the influence of alcohol, he can be fined up to $100,000 for carrying a firearm while uti and could have to spend up to 90 days in jail. Another thing in the video was that they couldn’t track the firearm’s ownership so the gun might have been not even been his and as mentioned earlier, you have to have a license to conceal carry which he did not have on him. When someone has a blood alcohol content of more than %0.08, then their vision becomes impaired and start to experience the next level of drunk. This man wasn’t just drunk, he was hammered so he could’ve ended up shooting someone while uti. Also, he could be tried for trespassing because that wasn’t his porch.

But a lot of the people refusing to get the jab are BPOC, so it's we people. And the jab does what exactly? Makes some people's symptoms less severe? Well symptoms vary, so I don't know how even that is provable. It doesn't keep you from getting or spreading Covid. Just as those cloth masks don't keep you from spreading it. It's just insane to see the lack of reasoning people use in this. Now apparently we trust big pharma. Only around 700 children have passed due to Covid or a comorbidity. Yet we are rolling out jabs for them too. Pharma thanks you for your contributions. There are 74 million children in the US. Let's remove 8 million for children under five. Each shot costs around $30. 66 million x $30 = $1.9 billion per dose. The money isn't in the cure. It's in the treatment. This is symptomatic medicine. It shouldn't even be called a vaccine.
