That's how good a top paleontologist like Pete can be at recognizing what to nearly anyone else would be an unrecognizable fragment.
He spent a lifetime developing that kind of skill, and he gets to use it doing something he loves, the lucky dog.

I like that Coyote's had a story behind it, both his and the animal's (with his trip to get it and with the tooth mark from a Hyeanodon), and Mario's was also really cool and really big. In the end, I have to say I personally think that Mark's was the coolest. It was the only confirmed fossil of the day that came from a predator and even cooler, it was from an actual Saber Tooth. Congrats on the amazing find, Mark!

My name is Zayden, my favorite fossil was the one related to the rhino. We are watching all your videos and are planning future trips to some of the awesome places you have gone to with grandma and grandpa!

all three of those finds were really cool.

This would be my favorite thing to do like ever! I live in east Kansas, all we have out here are simple byrozoans, seashells, and crinoids and here you guys are saying a lot of these vertebrate fossils are not worth keeping. I would keep every last bit if I could. 😂

Ow and I found a jawbone first I thought it was a crocodile (when I went to north African) but after I took it to america and took it to a bone specialist I found out it was a jawbone of a juvenile spinosaurus !!!!!!!!

My grandpa was a paleontologist and always took my brother and I fossil hunting with my family, we live in Alberta Canada so there is always a huge amount of fossils and I remember my best find ever was a small raptor tooth. I was so excited ! We would usually go fossil hunting like 10-15 times every summer so it was always a little family thing we did.
