Part of me wishes a Pontiac engine was going in, but screw it: you're breathing new life into an old hotrod and that's badass! But if I were going corporate myself, I'd go full cookie cutter and do a boosted LS-they just make too much sense now.

Funny thing is that a few years latter GM starting just calling all engines GM corporate engines and but them in anything they wanted. I bought a 1 owner 78 LeMans and it had a 305 chevy and then wen I needed a new engine I bought a 75 Olds Delta and it had a factory 350 chevy in it.

I got a 78 firebird. Bolt holes were created as corporate.
      Dropped in a well built LS5 454 11:1
Demons whine like puppies shifting for the next try .
I’m just in passing gear in the basic built 400 trans .
I haven’t gotten the bottle set up yet either.
      9” n case 3:25 gear
Tears the drag radials for 4ft
      Before hooking.

@@77chevy4x4 I put a SBC 350 & turbo 350 in place of a blown Overhead 6 in a 66 Tempest by just using 66 Malibu frame and motor mounts in a 2 day weekend so I could drive to work on Monday. I was even able to use the same driveshaft as the 2 speed Pontiac trans used with the same trans crossmember with a mid 70's Vega floor shifter.

@@swaller4504 I’m close . The Ford 9” n case axle is slightly less longer than the old 10 bolt . Nova driveshaft for the win . Next month hopefully
