    I would love to see a video how to braise with internal temperature because some say it doesn’t work, some say it does?! I would appreciate a video or tutorial from professionals like you. Thank you very much

      That is a great suggestion, thank you! We don't have a general braising with temperatures video but we do have a braised brisket video that demonstrates the same principles here: czcams.com/video/BXY478xlEwA/video.html

      @@thermapen I like to see this too, a general braising video with a meat thermometer but please in a regular oven not a fancy smoker etc. and please explain why almost everyone claims that its not possible to braise with internal temperature. thx

    Thanks! I just ordered this model to Check/Verify Temp of my Fish Tank water & for Fish Tank water changes because it's important that the new fresh water going into the Fish Tank is the same Temp as the water that's already in the Fish Tank, if not it can kill the fish.

    Can I use this probe to test the temperature of oil in a frying pan, or would I need to use something like a laser thermometer?

    • @thermapen
      @thermapen  Před 8 měsíci

      We have not any reports of issues with Thermapen ONE on induction cooktops.

    If one sets the auto off to off, how does one turn off the Thermapen One when finished using? Is it done via the menu, so the battery cover would need to be removed again?

    • @thermapen
      @thermapen  Před 2 lety +2

      Folding the probe shut will turn off Thermapen ONE.

      You only have to do it once, it makes sense to have a completely button-less exterior and have it in a settings menu.

    4:04 why is Thermoworks recording this video in a room that is 83.3 in temperature. Do you not have air conditioning?

      He's handling the tip, so of coarse it is showing his hand temp. I've got one and they are that instantaneous. Great instrument.

    Music way too loud and annoying in this video. Great info…but tone down the music

  • @XXXGRAPENUTSXXX

    Drop it? Come on guys.. won’t a drop ruin the tip??

    • @mittelfruh
      @mittelfruh Před 2 lety +1

      If it lands on the tip, possibly. I've got the silicone boot for added protection from drops, which thankfully I haven't done yet.

    • @thermapen
      @thermapen  Před 6 měsíci +1

      We have many videos and blog posts where we do cook steaks and teach that way. It is difficult to show the probe depth when doing it that way so we opted for something a little different in this video. I'm happy to share links if you'd like!
