Why would a center back need bags of flair and skill? He's an old fashioned, tough, tactical defender and it won him the Champions League amongst other cups and has been one of England's best defenders.

He wasn't even a full back, he was a center half.
Connor Anderson i thought glen Johnson was his replacement, my bad. he was generally a bad defender, he is a traditional ruffian tackler, always gave away free kicks and got booked too often, as oppose to someone like vidic, hard but clean, play the ball not the man mentality
Jake Almighty carragher was a cb who played rb as cover. he was really good in his prime, i say this as a united fan. he is an excellent pundit too. hyypia and carragher were a really good partnership. vidic is one of the best cbs to ever play in the premiership but carragher is no wes brown mate. his tackling and reading of the game were excellent because he was never one of the quickest!
