She is the co-founder of Uncharted Power, which made Soccket, a soccer ball that can be used as a power generator.
Matthews attended Harvard College and graduated from Harvard Business School.
In 2011, Fortune Magazine named her Fortune’s "10 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs" and in 2015, named her as Fortune’s "Most Promising Women Entrepreneurs." In 2012, the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations named her "Scientist of the Year."
Matthews is a dual citizen of the U.S. and Nigeria. The President of Nigeria named Matthews an Ambassador for Entrepreneurship for the country.

I just knew she was Nigerian.... Nigerian parents wont let you be "average".... they'll be on your head until you become GREAT!
Sometimes even as a different culture as me, yet still african american, I dont have parents, yet ONLY Jesus and my grandmother and aunts and sister helping me to be great. It doesnt matter what your momma or daddy say or whether they are nigerian, it matters finding yourself in God, nobody can make you do anything, but only God is making me great. I didnt have a great life so far, yet through my struggles God and family mostly God is with me and has changed me so much and gave me strength. She said am I happy? I dont need to ask myself that all I need is to walk with Jesus and im on my way no matter the tears through my day. Because when you trust in God, you dont need anybody else to make you become great, you already are.

alesia jackson amen and you WILL reach your destiny. Keep pushing. My parents are from Haiti. They are not mentally there. My grandmother raised us as babies. My siblings and I are doing great. Im a new nurse. My baby sis is a NP, my baby brother just started college. It doesn’t matter your culture. When God has a plan. That’s it. Stay humbled. Some ppl can’t help themselves to brag anyway they can because they want to feel special in any possible way lol

Kemi Adedipe don’t just work hard to become your best self but adapt your best self by making thousands of mistakes over and over again until you learn from your mistake. Sometimes we make mistakes more than once to fully learn from it. So if you make a mistake more than once it doesn’t mean you’re stupid it means you’re learning as you progress trying to insert the information into your head which will eventually click in.

I am a straight A student. It has taken a lot from me, friends, time, health. But I love it. I’m doing it by choice. My problem is that i never feel like it is enough. It stresses me out, whatever i do it doesn’t feel enough, i feel like i am failing. Can you help me about this, the day I don’t study i feel guilty, even if i have nothing to do i feel guilty, please help me about this. Even my teachers tell me to take it easy and that im too good. What should i do
You will achieve big things. Push yourself but not to where it effects your mental health. Take short breaks every once in a while. If you love what your doing then keep doing it. Leave time for your family and friends and do not fear failure. Later in life you’ll realize it’s the people and not the money that really matters. Hope this helps!

I was a straight A student too. And I got to the best university in my country, decided to become an electrical engineer. And I lost it. When I was in school I had a goal, I had support from my teachers I had dreams, I loved knowledge. But suddenly at university the proffesors don't know you, the courses are extremely hard and the best minds of the country are there so you look so small. And the worst is that you lose your goal because you have 20 subjects per year, you don't have time to see what you like, who you want to become, what direction to choose. So my advice for you is to always take a break to think why you are studying, what you want to do,what inspires you. So that you know what are you are working towards.
Like some people just make is a personal responsibility or life goal to dislike every video on CZcams like wow!

I still don’t know what I want, who I am and where to focus at. It stresses me a lot. I like to write and be creative but the places where I could do that for money and learn at the same time, are private University’s or Academy’s for whom I don’t have the money or the grades.. I‘m scared, I‘m 19 and the people around me are doing things and I feel like I‘m stuck and can’t get out.
I'm 19 too. People around me all are doing something or going with their life. But I still don't have a specific path. I don't know what I'll become when I really grow up. The feeling, when everyone is moving and you're still here is too much sometimes.
