That's an easy fix. With that incredible 76 mile range I'm getting from mine. It can rattle all day. I put a bit of foam on it with son giant rubber bands. Problem solved.

At the bottom of the battery there is two inserts that are not lined up properly from factory, but that doesn't stop the rattles, I put a big jubilee clip round the battery onto the steel at the back of it and that sorted it,
I can't stand the rattle lol
      It's a poor quality bike,
The brakes are rubbish you can't pedal very fast,
      The motor is noisy
the battery is the only good thing about it lol
      Dyu much better bike😎
If you disconnect the front light you can have your handlebars very high,
Sorts out the knees close to the handlebars problem,
      I've done 31 miles today
      Lots of really steep hills
      It's still on 3 bars
I upgraded to those hydraulic calipers at are pulled by the cables, they are worse than the stock brakes 😱
What a waste of time and money 😰

In case anyone’s curious to know how to increase speed to 37km or 23mph on the Fido L3 all you need to do is press and hold both power button and speed level button. Once the screen starts flashing press left & right. There you have it top speed 25miles per hour depending on (rider weight). Trust this works also feel free to CZcams it.

      @@treeman9706 yes, it worked.
It doesn’t have a whole lot of torque for hill climbing, but it goes great on level and small ascents. At full charge you can expect 22mph (gps) and then a reliable 19-20 mph for a long duration thereafter. I have the L2 as well. I looked at the controller’s of both. They are mostly similar than not as far as connectors. I wanted to unlock the L2 controller by connecting to the L3, but instead will try later when after I gain more knowledge.

    • @fender1000100
      @fender1000100 Před 2 lety +1

It's funny you say that. But the whole point of the L3 is you no longer need public transportation. My round trip to and from work is 22 miles. The train station is 2 miles from my place of work. Most of my work colleagues assumed I was riding from the station. When I told them was making the whole 11 mile trip on the L3. They were surprised.
One said he cant believe I can do that everyday on this little bike.i told him the L3 can do that for 3 days before I need to charge it again. Even more shock. This bike is THE KING.

The L3 goes a top speed of 23mph. To unlock it you hold down the two buttons until the 00 display flashes once. Then press the two buttons one at a time. Until they stop flashing. And you've unlocked the L3 from 15.5mph to 23mph. The cost of the extra speed will be 25 to 33% faster battery consumption. So you have to work out. Will this effect your daily commute. I was getting 76 miles locked. And when I unlocked it I got about 51 miles. Still enough to cover my longest required round trip of 45 miles. And take over an hour off my travel time. So really worth it.

I have a Engwe pretty much the same as this but it has suspension and is pedal assist the battery is a little smaller 48v and 980w they claim its 250w with a peak of 400w I brought 2 for my wife and I take out with the camper for transport around town. I'm 5.11 I would think a 6.1 person would fit but I needed to change the seat to make a good fit. I get about 50km per charger on the highest assist and I hardly pedal I just move them to keep it going. the maker claims more than 100 km at 60kg and the lowest assist I weight 94kg so it would get near to that. In all it works well and it bets the hell out of walking and is a lot faster. Also I don't care what it looks like its a very practical bike.

200 km out of 1,1 kwh are not really realistic. With my 28 inch hub motor bike I need between 7 and 10 Wh per km with 25 km/h with pedal assist, I have batteries with around 1,5 kWh in total (originally 1,7, but they have some degradation after years of use), which gives me a range of barely 200 km.
