    I was keen optimistic to travel to Canada, I tried all I could to get a Canada visa I failed for three years, A medical doctor based in Canada referred me to Mr Ethan Lucas and his team really guided me through and I migrated to Canada in 2021 successfully at affordable cost.

    Long rant lol, firstly, you like my spirit animal!!! Stumbled across your videos and havent stopped watching. It is so nice to have a person who has relocated give solid advice, not many know what to do and also get caught up paying so much just to go over. Its also SO AMAZING that you are non white, because you seldom find any one giving advice who is, and you also find that the channels you get about relocating are very one sided and at times a bit racial, so kudos to you!!! I lived in Australia in 2015, and we are planning to go (my little family) beginning of 2022 so any information is always helpful, no matter how much you think you know. For those who are thinking of doing it, go for it, research, there are also some nice sites that have jobs and sponsored jobs which are few and far between but ARE there. And always check whats on the Occupation Lists on the site. Again, well done on your channel Thlologelo, only onwards and upwards from here :-)

    I was sponsored, and my sponsor paid ONLY her visa cost. Nothing else. Just so people know that not all sposor jobs help you with any of you expenses. All costs are your own. And although it's not legal, some sponsors make you pay their part of the visa cost as well. So please don't think a sponsor job will save you money. It's just sometimes an easier option to get a foot in the door. But it's a process. Because you also don't always end up with only one sponsor job, you can get worked over and messed around. But you will get to the end game, which is residency and citizenship. Just do whatever you have to and hold on! It's worth it in the end. Best of luck to all!

    Woow, good for you and your family. At least you have moved with your husband and children. I did my Master degree in Australia some years back and I would not say there is anything that would make me trade my comfort of being home and our ways of being and relating to one another as Africans. Although such a wonderful country and I had friends in form of my uni mates etc, I was deeply depressed there. I now live in Germany still for studies and I still do not see anything that would convince me otherwise to settle anywhere else. It is the alienation in these countries for me, which may not be the same experience for others, but I just can't trade the way of living and the sense of community in Africa for anything. Of course I have a comfortable life back in my country which may make me probably more privileged than others who may buy into migrating for economic reasons for example. I have seen so many of our South Sudanese brothers and sisters in Australia and although probably many are doing well, I found that there is also some level of social issues they experience there as a community. You and your family are so brave sis.

    • @ThlologeloPromiseRampa
      @ThlologeloPromiseRampa  Před 3 lety +3

      I know exactly what you are talking about. The depression is real this side. I experienced it when I was at home and it hit me again when I came here in my first year 2019. Even though I'm with my family, you still miss home. I think it's like that for any immigrant worldwide. What keeps me grounded are my reasons for being here so everyday I work to create the life I want to myself, my husband and children. It's better to travel through life with someone and for that I appreciate and husband and children for being here with me. I don't know how I would have done it alone. I can't go back home. Even if I miss home, home is no longer home for me. When you are from poverty and the village, life hits you differently. We all have problems or just depends on your solving mechanisms and inner strength. I had no choice but to be brave. For me leaving felt like a life or death kind of situation

      @@ThlologeloPromiseRampa So brave of you sis. I wish you nothing but the best with your family. I too I am a village girl so I'm consistently working on bridging the contradictions of being an African villager with the modern hegemony of being western educated. It is not easy, but I concluded that my purpose rather lies with making a difference with my people and hopefully will translate into a more meaningful life for me. I am ever proud of fellow Africans navigating the storms of our bad governance however way appropriate for them. Australia is a wonderful country with a beautiful geography . I especially loved the outdoor life and their marvelous breathtaking beaches. I lived in Queensland and the tropical weather was no different from our Southern African weather. Given a choice, I will choose Australia over Europe anytime. Many more blessings and great wishes for you and your family sis.

      Thank you so much sis ❤️. I also had a similar upbringing with a bit of private schooling but completed high school at a government school. I applaude people who are able to make a difference back home. Their strength is incredible. I couldn't do it. I felt very worthless and battled depression for the longest of time. I was at my lowest and figured that I was no good to myself and my family in that state. I can still make a difference when I'm here but charity starts at home and I had to start with me and put myself first. Thank you so much for the well wishes and I hope to see you shine and fulfil you dreams and purpose. Nothing beats that. Lots of love ❤️

Ours is 2,9% at the moment which is great compare to back home. Investment properties this side will set you up good for retirement. The rental market is huge.

    Please tell me how does it work when you relocate while you have debts with banks that financed the bond, cars etc . Do settle all debts , or sell out your assets or one can still pay while already relocated.

    • @ThlologeloPromiseRampa
      @ThlologeloPromiseRampa  Před 3 lety +3

      We did not have much debt. I’m afraid of debt but sometimes you just have to do it to survive. We sold all cars and whatever came out of that we settled our debts before we left. You can relocate while having debt and when you get here, if you main focus is to save money, you can pay off your debts in a quicker rate than if you continued working in RSA because the dollar is stronger. Some people come here to work for about 5 years to set themselves up
      For life. I will tell the story of this lady I met in Hillbrow who worked as a nurse in Canada. She breathed immigration into me years before I knew I’d even consider it. When she came back home Canada after a couple of years, she was able to buy a house in the suburbs cash (she lived in Soweto most of her life) she even bought a Mercedes Benz cash and had some left to enjoy. So spending a couple of years abroad can help you settle your debt and live comfortably back home due to the rand to dollar exchange. I hope this helps. Oh yes so you can rent out your house or pay for it when you are this side by keeping a bank account active. With a car, I’d say sell it because it would be a waste to pay for something that depreciates and you are not using it unless you give it to a family member which has its risks involved. It’s up to you and what you find achievable in your situation. But sit down and have a think about it

I just want to know how I can go about finding a sponsor / finding a job before starting the visa application. Do you have any suggestions on how I can approach my journey. Thank you

    Thanks Promise for all this info, very informative. Tell me, which websites would you recommend to apply for jobs? I’ve started the process on Skills Select. Also what can you recommend to submit for the skills assessment. So far I’ve thought of my CV, my certificates and professional registration certificates what else is critical ? Thank you

      @ThlologeloPromiseRampa  Před 3 lety +1

      Let’s start with the skills assessment. You have to make sure you submit all that is needed by your assessing authority. The standard stuff should be your qualifications and work experience, transcript, identifying documents etc. sometimes they want letters of recommendations or video evidence. This varies for different professions so you need to find out what’s needed for your application.
      I say put everything possible in there. My husband thinks I’m crazy but I always say, if they don’t need it they will put it aside. No harm done.
      When looking for jobs, they seek.com and indeed.com. I will do a video on this one later to help you guys

      It depends on the visa you are applying for? Which visa are you talking about? It also depends on whether you are In the country or outside. All the information is on the immigration website.

      Cerified copies need to be mailed to the assessing authority. It is usually detailed on their wesibe. I will touch on this more in Episode 6.

    I have one question
    Did you and your Hubby migrate after you both secured jobs in the same city?
    If yes how did you make sure that you get jobs in-the same city without waiting for too long .
    Im asking this because we are currently in SA and one of the reasons we migrating is that my husband stays 500km away from me and kids and I don’t want to go to Australia and have the same situation .

      Hey...thank you for the love. Welcome to my channel. Okay so I might have to do a video on this one because there is a whole story behind what happened with us. When we relocated, my husband was the only one with employment and I applied for jobs in the same town. I then got a job, but they decided to send me somewhere 7 hours away from Grafton but because we were desperate, I took the job. Within two months, my manager fought for me to be transferred to the Grafton office because I was miserable without my family, we were new in the country, and they had availability in the Grafton office. So, we ended up together. Also, when we moved to Hervey Bay, we managed to get jobs literally a street away from each other which was amazing. There are many options available to be honest. As I said, depends on your profession and where you decide to settle.

      Age is very important when discuses permanent residency visas but for some work visas such as the TSS, they do not have age restrictions. Don’t panic yet, there are ways around this

      You have to start with a skills assessment. Read the information to check your eligibility and assess if it’s a risk worth taking. If IT is in the list, then you should be fine. Make sure you find out if they are okay with diplomas or they would want a degree. So of these assessing authority only take degrees

    Aussies find your heavily accented English hard to understand. The White Afrikaans accent is found arrogant in Australia. Aussies stay away from it. It's the truth. Ask other immigrants in Australia. They will tell you so. You don't need to speak like an Aussie. Need to articulate.

    • @MAC9949
      @MAC9949 Před rokem

      So she has to cover up her native accent to please other people??? Huh??
      Also she is speaking in a Black South African accent. It is not the same as how either the Afrikaaners or English South Africans speak even if all three are close. Any person who has heard how all three speak can tell the difference.
      Also, there are hundreds of thousands of South Africans in Australia and they are not complaining.
