I know its so much more difficult playing under pressure and having to hit every shot in a row, but I still can't stop laughing at when they hit easy shots but get the ball to a good position for the next shot and litterally everyone loses their shit
3:40 exactly like snooker coverage: there's the danger of the white going in-off (scratch?), the player's looking worried, I'm on the edge of my seat -- but all I get shown is the crowd screaming....
In fairness it's not the cameraman, but the person who choses which camera view actually gets shown. Not sure what they're called.

01:41 I'm sorry, but why are flukes like this considered to be amazing shots in pool? If that was in snooker, the player will be apologizing to his opponent after a shot like this. Are you telling me he planned the ball to go into the corner? I don't think so. At best, he wanted to pot the 1 ball in the middle pocket. Not to mention that he got extremely lucky not to snooker himself from playing the 2 ball. The whole thing was a nasty fluke and nothing more.

Well, they gotta throw a bone to the guy who most likely lost them this Mosconi cup. Otherwise, this channel would also get canceled or frozen out by him and all his pro friends, since he's basically been the one with a monopoly over the major decisions for the US side of the Mosconi cup in recent years.

shot 5 was a fluke, why didn't he hit the 1 full ball and leave the cue ball where the 1 ball is for position on the 2? makes absolutely no sense to play the ball to that pocket it was a fluke

I agree. Efren could have played and make that shot on that side pocket or a double bank to the other side pocket and called it. That cut to the corner is a low percentage shot and not a viable option if you want to intentionally make it.

There are other guys that could have made that on the side pocket not just efren it's not that much of a difficult shot... But I get it efren made some amazing shots especially in his farewell tour. I will never ever like jump shots. They seem so cheap to me. Like a silly circus trick. I think it's a remnant from my active days in the 80s when I was competing. In those days jump shots were just frowned upon. It wasn't cool or seen as skillfull. It was drunken jocks in the pool hall showing off in the hopes of making the ball and bagging Stacy. Table or cloth be damned.

@@212mochaman while yes they may take less skill than kicking, they do take some skill, and their heavy use in events has lead to players going for lockup safety shots which forces the player to kick. So in a way their use made players go back to the old ways of kicking in a lot of cases.
