Glad the surgery went so well!! Your eyes look so much better. Your such a trooper. No need to feel mum guilt; when you were on the sofa with the girls they had your presence and cuddles even with your eye mask on; such a beautiful moment in the video 🥰.

So glad your surgery went well. It's amazing the difference!
You're such a mumma bear.💗 Don't feel guilty that you couldn't spend time with your girls. I don't know why mums feel this guilt. There are times in our life that we need to take time for ourselves especially for medical reasons.

Mum guilt is the worst, but taking care of yourself is important, & it’s good for the kids to know that sometimes you need to take time to look after yourself, and that it’s perfectly ok.

I’m getting this surgery on August 6th, 2024. Thank you so much for your video. ❤ This is so helpful to me. I was expecting my eyes to be completely closed following surgery, but obviously, from your experience…it looks like it’s going to be tolerable. Right now, my eyes look like yours did before..one eyelid is a lot lower than the other. I’ll be do happy when it’s over with and I’m healed. Yours turned out great.

yeah you need to wait until your prescription has stabilised to get laser as it is something you can only ever do once, so if your eyesight is still deteriorating, you could end up needing to wear glasses again the future. I was an optical assistant for 6 years. :)
glad to hear that you are a candidate though! so happy that you overcome the mum guilt and prioritise your self care

Hey all I am just updating everyone on my surgery that I had on 6/8. Everything went well except that I had to get 3 adjustments since the surgery(I had adjustable sutures) I only had to take Tylenol for pain. I was prescribled Tobradex, Trifluridine, and Prenisolone eye drops as well as Medrol Dosepak and also the ointment. I have been using the Trifluridine and Prednisolone since before surgery because I had a herpes infection in that eye back in the day( go figure!) At least that is stable now. Anyway I am glad that I got my surgery done! Next is to see about getting my droopy eyelid fixed! Again same eye as the strabismus surgery lol! It was droopy before the surgery and I noticed its more droopier since the surgery probably because its still swollen and red and healing.

Glad your surgery went well. I born with a slightly ptosis on my right eyelid. I’ve always wanted to get it fixed, but haven’t find the right doctor yet. Only went to talked to one of the eye surgeons and he said all these negative things about the side affects I might have after the surgery. Those side affects, I might not be able
to close my eyes, super dry eyes and all kind of long term infection I might face in the future. I totally feel hopeless after that.
I wish there an eye surgeon in American that can fix my ptosis

Thanks for posting. My only apprehension about this procedure is the risk of dry eye. From what I’ve picked up it seems to maybe be a temporary issue. Did you have any dry eye problems after and do u have a one year update?

Hello, I was wondering about laser surgery. That will help with your astigmatism as well. I had laser eye surgery and after years of contacts and coke bottle thickness glass lenses, I have never looked back. Good luck.
