my car is a MG5 CVT with a pcd 112 and i got a AC Shnitzer mags from a BMW with a pcd 120... i need a adapter can you help me get the right size for this?
Just ordered my adapters from them too!!!! Thank you so much!
Awesome!
how much for adaptors?
Wonderful video
Many thanks!
Glad we were able to make those work for ya!
Thanks! They were great!
how much are they???
Have the adapters been on since this video was created and if so how are they holding up? Any issues/concerns? Thinking about getting a set for my mdx and have read mixed results on spacers/adapters.
I recently sold these wheels but I had the spacers and wheel setup on for quite awhile. Zero issues with them. I even drove from Ohio to Orlando, FL for Bimmer Invasion with the spacers and wheels on. I have been running wheel spacers for years on multiple cars with no issues. You will be fine.
I wouldn't have put the ant-seize on the flat mounting surface as you're potentially creating an uneven contact between hub and spacer. Just around the centre hub locator should be suffice as that's where rust will develop and lead to seizing.
Ive had spacers seize on without putting anti-seize on the flat surfaces.
What is the minimum thickness of the adapters to clear the lug bolts to the hub? The wheels I’m looking at are flat back so they don’t have cutouts to clear the lug bolt heads.
Youd have to measure your lug bolts. Not sure off hand.
Hey I got a question did you have the oem sensors for the f80 wheels? And did they work with the g80? I had gotten some sensors from the dealership for my f82 wheels and I was wondering if I can use the same ones for the g82
I had TPMS in the F80 wheels and they actually worked with my G80. I did not have to reprogram or buy new sensors.
@@accelerated_motion thanks man🙏🏽
@@lifethroughnick You bet!
Please help, I want to get the G80 M3 Comp wheels (M824 I think the name of the wheels are) for my 2015 F80 M3. What kind of adapters do I need? And also would I run in some other issues? Thank you!!!
You need to do the opposite of what I did. You'll need 5x120 to 5x112 adapters. Double check what your center bore is on the F80 and the M824 wheels.
Do they have this adapter but slimmer? Because wheels I'm getting is
Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3
- Fronts: 19x9.5+18
- Rears: 19x10.5+18
Plus 18 offset already.....
My car is e46 m3
You'll have to reach out to them directly to see if they can make skinnier ones WITH studs. Without studs, sure they can. But I think there is a minimum thickness required for studs.
What’s the name of the company you brought the adapters from? I need some for my G30, and is it possible for them to make the center bore 66.6mm on the inside and 57.1 on the outside??
Information is in the video and in the video description. All completely custom made to spec.
Awesome video!! I wonder if they will do the same thing but instead 5x120 to 5x112 =]
Thanks! They can definitely make one!
Ok so I got 5x114 rims that I want to install on my x5 but I’m the hubs are 5x120 .
I’m confused on the type of spacer I need ..
Do I need a 5x114 - 5x120 ?
Or a 5x120 - 5x114 spacer ?
5x120mm car side and wheel side 5x114 you need
Are they safe to use for daily driving?
Absolutely. I daily drive my G80 and have been everyday since install. No issues whatsoever.
I would have thought you should go for a wheel bolt that is 18/20mm longer than the OEM bolt as you’ve added the spacer and now the bolt is 18/20mm less secure into the actual hub. It’s usually standard practice to run a longer bolt when using a spacer and this custom adapter is essentially a fancy spacer. Other than that nice solutions!
What youre saying is true, but this isnt a spacer. Its an adapter with built-in studs. If these did not have built in studs, then yes, I would have gone with longer studs to account for the added spacer width.
@@accelerated_motion sorry, I don’t agree with that and for your own safety as the studs only attach the wheel to spacer/adapter. If the bolts from the spacer/adapter to the hub fail because they are 18/20mm less attached to the hub then the spacer/adapter and wheel will come off as one, the only thing keeping the spacer/adapter and wheels onto the car is the OEM bolts that are now 18/20mm less secure into the hub. I think overall it’s brilliant spacer/adapter and something I’d use myself but only with longer bolts to ensure it’s secured properly to the hub.
@@K3OVN If I'm being honest, I actually tested your theory with some spare longer studs from my 13mm spacer kit. The problem then becomes that the longer wheel bolts that go into the spacer and into the hub, end up getting some hardware on the backside of the hub, which then causes the rear wheels to not turn a full 360 degrees. Hard to explain without showing you a picture. So if you can find a sweet spot on the length of those wheel bolts, then great, just have to be cautious on the back side. Also, I ran my setup with the stock wheel bolts all the way from Ohio to Orlando for Bimmer Invasion with ZERO issues.
@@accelerated_motion it sounds like the longer bolts you used are too long then, the OEM bolts are 27mm long, how big is the adapter? Let’s say it’s 20mm, that would mean your OEM bolts are only 7mm into the hub, which is not a lot, I’ve no doubt you don’t have an issue but the wheel is meant to be secured by 27mm of bolt not 7mm and would be a safety concern to me etc.
@@K3OVN Have to also keep in mind that the lug holes on the adapter are recessed. Just because the adapter is 20mm doesnt mean that the bolt is losing 20mm of length. The holes are recessed.
good job. I just want to know if it is safe. thanks.
Yes, very safe. Its no different than running traditional wheel spacers.
So this is kinda confusing I have an Audi that has 5x112 bolt pattern and i recently was gifted 5x120 wheels feom my job is there any way that can work?
This is exactly the same as what I had to do. 5x112 (car) to 5x120 (wheel). Just make sure your center bore specs are correct.
@@accelerated_motion another thing is the audi is female as in it has studs rather than lugs which is probably where this differs
@@owen.biastre studded spacers can be made. But it depends on how wide you need to go on the spacers and if your 5x120 wheels have cutouts in the back of them for the old studs to sit. Otherwise, will not work.

$250-300 range
Wheel spacers are bad for wheel bearings
Wheel spacers won't damage wheel bearings. In fact, they are no different from a wheel with less backspacing. In other words, spacers cause no more damage than offset wheels. As long as they fit properly and are correctly torqued, there will be no issues.
