Otokar introduced the ARMA II 8×8

Otokar introduced the domestically developed 8×8 ARMA II TTZA in a post on its official Twitter account. Thus, after the 6×6 ARMA ÖMTTZA, 8×8 ARMA II ÖMTTZA was added to Otokar's ARMA armored vehicle family, which started in 2010.
Speaking at the presentation, Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç made the following statements:
“We developed ARMA II as a new generation armored vehicle with higher capabilities, following in the footsteps of ARMA, the experienced member of the family, and reflecting the field experiences we gained at ARMA. ARMA is today considered one of the world's leading armored combat vehicles in its class. For more than 10 years, we have gained a unique knowledge with ARMA. Today, more than 500 of our ARMA vehicles are used for different tasks in different countries of the world.”
“Our ARMA vehicle is the only vehicle in its weight class with amphibious capability. Our multi-wheeled armored vehicle family has expanded further with ARMA II, which we developed with our own resources, taking into account the evolving needs and demands of our users and new threats. We believe that ARMA II, just like ARMA, will soon be among the top priorities of modern armies. We aim to reinforce Otokar's success in armored combat vehicles with ARMA II.”
We offer ARMA II with two different engine options, one of which is domestic. We have done all the tests and qualifications for both engines and power groups. By completing the infrastructure investments with our own resources, we made ARMA II ready for mass production with two different engine options. We will take into account the preferences of our users; however, our priority will be to provide cost-effective, supply continuity and advantageous lifetime support services to our users with the domestic power package. In addition, the goal we want to contribute while using domestic engines; It is the domestic development and qualification of similar class engines already supplied from abroad, with domestic capabilities and opportunities, and thus eliminating dependence on foreign countries.
ARMA has been developed to be ready to work in all kinds of climatic conditions with its high mobility and long-distance road conditions that increase its efficiency in difficult terrain conditions. ARMA II consists of a modular platform that allows the integration of mission equipment or weapon systems of different qualities.
Vehicle, 105 mm Fire Support Vehicle, 120 mm Mortar Vehicle, Low and Medium Altitude Air Defense Vehicle, Low Altitude Air Defense Vehicle, Engineering Vehicle, ZMA with 25 mm turret, ZMA with 30 mm turret, Armored Rescuer, CBRN Reconnaissance Vehicle, Reconnaissance Vehicle, It has been developed for different tasks such as Driver Training Vehicle, Injured Evacuation Vehicle, Command and Control Vehicle.
Otokar will offer ARMA II to its users with two different engine options, one of which is domestic. Countries that want to buy will be able to choose between a locally developed engine or another engine. Tests and qualifications were carried out for both engines. Both engines were made ready for mass production.
