- Join me for a relaxing riverside adventure with the Sony fx30 and Helios 44-2. Trying to film yourself with a manual focus lens was a little difficult but i think a nailed my focus for the most part. Love the out of focus regions the lens gives. Very hollywood like!

My shooting condition in the Pacific Northwest will be similar: outdoors in the field, overcast sky, solitude scenes. This video is the first I’ve reviewed without major lens flare, a feature for some but not for my style. Thank you for sharing.

@@PatrickS. yes ! Lately I use the Helios in combination with an Anamorphic adapter. Thank you 😊
@Saeshmedia That sounds interesting! I didnt know that existed! What is the name of it?
@@PatrickS. there are a few. You can put the adapter in front of a spherical lens to make it anamorphic. I use the Blazar Nero 1x5. There are some video with Helios in combination with this adapter on my channel.

Thankyou! When i ordered the lens off amazon it came with just a generic m42 - nex adapter. No branding or anything on it. But it does the job! Theres lots of different adapters on amazon for pretty cheap!
@@PatrickS. you dont use any reduction focal to this ? the image for me show nice wide, thats croped ?
so autofocus does not work with this lens. looks great but thats definitely a challenge
A little difficult filming yourself, really gotta plan your shots and make them pretty static.
