  • A sunny walk through two lovely areas of Bristol, England. No music, no edits. Just a calm, quiet walk. Filmed using a Mijia 4K camera and accompanying Mijia gimbal for smoothness. Edited Using Adobe Premiere Elements 2018.

I walked this route last September and it nearly killed me! Beautiful view at the top, though.

I lived in Clifton in the mid 1970's and this video was an absolute delight to watch, thank you very much. I met my wife to be who lived in a house in the village where Sir Humphrey Davy lived when he was studying in Bristol....this brought back such vivid and lovely memories of my old stomping ground, very different to Brisbane Australia!!

Would be really appreciated if you could go back over the video & just pop in, on screen, the main points of interest. It's OK for folk who live there, in the neighbourhood, but for the rest of us it would be lovely to know what we're looking at + so we could visit if we wish. Some gorgeous trees in the park - I'm sure they have a story to tell, when you consider the hell Bristol went tru' during the war. Do remember, donkey's years ago, driving along that road with the stays for Clifton Suspension Bridge off to the left. Wonderful spot! Appreciate no background music! Cheers!

I wasn't sure where you were at first but suddenly you came up on St. Andrews and the Birdcage, and I was 9 years old again and home. I grew up in Tottenham Place and Richmond Terrace before we left for Canada in 1964. 57 years ago, but Clifton will always be home. This has been wonderful to watch, thank you so much!

Clifton was one of the areas I worked in when I worked for Rediffusion as a TV repair man. I also covered other areas like St. Pauls, Redland, Cotham and the City buildings, pubs etc. But my favorite visits were always Clifton. The buildings and the lots of different types of people who lived there was always great ! This was way back in 1970 to 1985. Then I moved out to my wife's parents in Australia - a very nice country, but I still miss Bristol - especially Clifton ! ! !

It's so nice to hear about your experiences in Bristol. I grew up in Ashton Gate in the 80s and my parents still live there to this day. During lockdown last year I walked as far as I could while we got "stuck" in Bristol due to Covid. have lived in South Kore, the USA, China and now Thailand, but Bristol will always have my heart.

Glad you enjoyed it! We were in Beijing for a couple of years, now living in Thailand. I decided to make these videos when we got stuck in the UK. Bristol will always have my heart :)

Moved to Cyprus a few years ago from the greatest city in the world ...yes thats Bristol me luvver! ...and love this video purely because, apart from turning the camera away from the direction of the walk once or twice, its one of a very few decent treadmill/ walking machine videos of Bristol to use in front of the TV ... many thanks!

My mother used to work in one of those big mansions turned into a nursing home on the Clifton Downs in the 1970s to the early 1980s and my father and us kids and sometimes my mother would go to Ashton Court mansion every Tuesday in the late 1970s to see the jazz band play, good memories! by the way we lived in the eastern suburbs of Bristol at that time.
