Dr Dray! I'm so pumped for this video. People, let's be grateful that she's giving us some excellent medical advice that is co-pay free. 👍
Thanks for watching
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I’m lucky to have a very good derm, but Dr Dray goes above and beyond-without involving my insurance company! I don’t know about anyone else, but I always feel like my insurance company penalizes us if we go to the doctor!😾
@@DrDrayzday Pls review mixsoon skincare from South Korea.
I love hydrating toners!! So helpful for a dehydrated skin
I ADORE using the urea lotion on my 60 year old dry skin! After using it twice a day for almost 2 weeks, some of my co workers commented on my skin. This was the only new product i had added to my daily skin routine so im pretty sure its from the urea lotion. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Meant to be! I just searched “dr dray toner” - how bizarre! Thank you for your informative guidance, I truly truly appreciate it.
Me too!
Oh I searched the same :p
The Isntree Green Tea toner is the first hydrating toner I tried and I absolutely loved it. Took my about 6 months to use it up and definitely saw a reduction of oiliness and redness while using it, and even now a month after using it up my skin is still doing great. I'll definitely consider repurchasing!
I’ve been using the Isentree toner for about a week now and while I like how it feels on my skin, I find the smell very off putting. Kind of like burnt coffee. And I can smell it for hours after putting it on my face. Did anyone else have that experience? Or did I just get a bad one?
@@dianamartin407 that's kind of odd, i've gone thru a few bottles of this toner and while i smell it at first while putting it on, it has a sort of tea leaves + dirt smell to me (smells like a forest, i don't find this unpleasant) i certainly dont smell it for hours.
Thanks !
Where do u buy it?
Will this work on dry skin?
Male follower here 🙋♂️ I usually stay away from those “MEN” marketed products because they often smell weird to me 😂 I’m currently using the Hada Labo Goku Jyun toner you’ve mentioned and I simply love it! I use it after I trim my beard and sometimes during the day under a light moisturiser (when I know I’m wearing a mask for a long time!). Great video by the way 👍 thanks!
Goku?! Me must buy
Your idea is very good...
Love from a female here ❤️
Hehe you're cute
Thank you so much for introducing the Sukoyaka Suhada urea lotion. This stuff was a game changer for me. I haven't been tolerating the Zapzyt BHA facewash very well around my nose area but for some reason using this toner really cleared everything up and now I can use that cleanser every evening with no issues. I was skeptical how watery it is wondering if there's really much in it at all but it really does work fantastic. Thanks!
i've been using the isntree green tea emulsion, and i really like it. the bottle is pretty big (120 ml) so it lasts you a long time, and the price is super affordable. their new sunscreen, the watery sun gel is SO GOOD! from your video, i got interested in trying the urea lotion/toner. Happy TWOSDAY (02/22/22) everyone 🌺
If Dr Dray is recommending toners, you know that toners must be very good. Not surprised to see mostly Japanese toners because toners (what they call "lotion") are their most popular kind of skincare products and they are usually top notch, perhaps even more so than Korean toners I'd say.
Considering her saying they weren’t necessary two years ago
@@parishers6351 lol yeah when she said that I stopped watching her because my experience with them conflicted w/that. I came back looking for an old video and low and behold stumbled on this change of mindset. Glad to see it, albeit taking 2 years.....
@@Jen______ They’re definitely not necessary but they can contain ingredients that help
These products are gonna calm down the dryness and irritation that I got from using Tretinoin. Thanks, Dr Dray
The eye makeup is glistening ❤️
Hydrating toners helped my skin so much. I always thought the most hydrating thing in skincare is cream. So thank you for your review, you thought me to try toner years ago and I have never looked backed. ... I love Korean skincare and interested to try more from Japanese skincare. From those I tried the green tea toner, but from Benton and love Hada labo. Sana is on my wishlist and also Naturie Hatomugy toner. You showed it in one of your shopping videos.
I’ve been using the urea toner/lotion for two days (based on Dr. Dray’s recommendation) and the results are incredible! My skin is so soft and yes, works on my sebaceous filaments.
The Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing Toner
i have keratosis pilaris/chicken skin on face. how do u think will it be useful for that as well ?
@@MsMeGUka not sure 🤔
@@MsMeGUka yes it will
Omg really which one are you using?
I've used two of these, Isntree and the Sukoyaka Suhada -- they are both awesome and so hydrating! Thank you 💞
Hi! Your makeup looks great today! Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner is my favorite hydrating toner. I have 52 year old dry skin and use retinols, and this stuff has made a surprisingly significant difference in my skin barrier. It does have a lavender fragrance which I love, but could be irritating to some (it looks like there are fragrance-free options as well). I thought hydrating toners were kind of a gimmick but this is hands down my favorite skin care product. I am interested in trying the Isntree product to see how it compares.
Thank you Dr. Dray for making my skin and hair healthier. I love your content and I watch you daily. set an alarm on my fitness watch for every two hours to reapply sunscreen and I walk outside with an umbrella. My skin is so much healthier. Thank you again for existing and sharing the knowledge. YOU are a game changer in skincare !
Hi .. please suggest which sunscreen are you using 😊
I have the Hada Labo Gokojun (white bottle) in my shower and the L’Oreal HA in my medicine cabinet. Love both very much! I also enjoyed the Hada Labo blue bottle one.
I actually do find immediate gratification using the Timeless Q10 serum 😁. I haven’t found another I like as much but may try your suggestion for the lotion with Q10. I use many of the Korean/Japanese products you suggest. Love the formulations. And, of course, your channel for guiding us ❤️🇨🇦
Same here! Use it every morning after their vitamin C serum. My skin has improved significantly in texture, reduction in hyperpigmentation and brightness! Agree the formulation and feel is super! Slow and steady…been using it every day for about two years. Love it!😊
Thank you Dr Dray. Your natural makeup palette looks beautiful on you!
Love the isntree toner! I have dry skin yet i am acne prone and this helps soothe my skin, keep down acne inflammation and give antioxidant protection! Love that it finally has the dr dray stamp of approval!
Same skin type, just ordered it... Can't wait for it to arrive 😅
@@deirdresmith7314 whats the update?
@@nishateasmin5797 it's amazing, I layer it with the cosrx propolis toner because my skin is so dry. So I double cleanse with the klairs light oil cleanser, cosrx low ph cleanser, 2 layers of the isntree green tea toner and 1 layer of the cosrx propolis toner, snail mucin essence, Niacinamide serum and snail mucin cream from cosrx. It's such a hydrating, barrier strengthening routine. This works for anyone with acne prone but dry, dehydrated skin. 😅
if u don’t mind me asking do u apply the toner on damp skin
@@deirdresmith7314 .
I'm really tempted to try one these as my skin feels so dry from using Cerave's retinol, I don't know if the dryness is just a temporary effect and my skin will get used to it or if I should take a break from the product. I've noticed my fine lines are more noticeable. If anyone has had a similar experience, please help a girl out.
Maybe your skin is dehydrated and needs the barrier to repair! She has a video on it i think
Your skin has to get used to it. She has videos on it. I used it only once a week for a few months then 2 times, now I am able to use it 3-4 times a week. Use something before applying retinol as that can do more damage than benefits.
Did you check out her retinol videos?
She pretty much explains everything you need to know there... including what to do, if you're experiencing irritation or such.
hey there! I’m a BIG fan of lightweight, hydrating steps before a retinol. I use a retinoid everynight (tret) and I use a toner, essence, and serum (all hydrating/moisturizing, no fragrance or actives) before the retinoid. makes the BIGGEST difference!
@Michele Boyer Thank you so much. I am terrified of premature aging with using this type of products wrong. I'll cut it to once a week.
I have mature combo skin, the Isntree toner is a holy grail for me! It « normalized » my skin, it’s hydrating, it’s full of anti oxidants. I also love the Neogen micro fermented essence, and the Haruharu rice essence.
Does it smell?
Dr. Dray, you are especially pretty in this vlog! And thank you for all that you do, and I feel so lucky that I found your channe, as it has greatly help me withmy skin care journey
Dr. Dray, I've been wanting to incorporate a hydrating toner for my dry skin! I'm a minimalist but wanted to add a toner for additional hydration. I've used the hada labo one before and adored it, so I was going to get that again, but I'm now eyeing these other ones. I only buy something that you, the derm queen herself, recommends. I have very sensitive skin, I'm a redhead and avoid fragance at all costs for skin or haircare products. I also have horrible hormonal acne and on tret which has helped, but I am on month 5 of tri-cyclen, it has really helped but still struggling with some cystic acne. You always have the most beautiful recommendations. Thank you so much. ♥️
Hada Labo ...LOVE ! Their oil cleanser is great ! Thanks for the vid ! Rick
After not using toners for years, I just started using Avene toner. Love it.
I love almost every hada labor Tokyo product! I tried man's line, I love cleanser, so creamy and non stripping. Also highly recommend their SPF 30 matte from premium line
My heart just took a hit with your comments about Co Q10, specifically, as it comes in Eucerin face moisturizer. I’ve been using it daily, AM and/or PM, since discovering it a little over two years ago. I’m old, and don’t have ‘ten to twenty years to appreciate’ seeing a difference 😕.
It really is a good moisturizer, and SOO inexpensive, though!
Thanks for all you do on your channel. You’re a doll!
Q10 is a powerful antioxidant. The antioxidant effect will start working immediately to slow down skin ageing by eliminating free radicals. So your skin will be ageing slower immediately but the collagen boosting and wrinkle smoothing may take a while. You could incorporate a retinal or tretinoin to see faster wrinkle smoothing.
@@lovebeauty7713 thank you ☺️ I do use retinols in various product types, plus other actives.
omg thank you for looking out for us men with the 3rd recommendation!! :)
Yessss! This is me. Dehydrated! Thank you so much 💕💕
Cereve now has a toner. Just bought it. Like it so far. Not irritating 😊
Thank you for one more video on Hada Labo Line. Soooo simple and thus effective ingredient list, no fragrance. So effective and not marketed enough, which I'm grateful for (budget friendly and high quality brand). Have been using their HA toner and essence since late fall. My skin has never been more hydrated, despite the combo of retinal and winter weather.
Thanks for the reviews! I cannot live without the Hada Labo Premium toner! I am buying a Japanese Polyglutamic acid toner cause of another video you made!!
I use the Sana Q10 face cream and eye cream, which I buy at Mitsuwa supermarket near my home. I like it a lot and over time my skin has become more supple and smoother. Thumbs up 😁
Happy Tuesday Dr Dray!
Happy Tuesday
I’ve been trying the body version of the Sana Soymilk Lotion and it really helps to hydrate my skin before moisturizing.
I read the ingredients on all makeup and skincare before I even read the claims! You have taught us well, Dr. Dray!🙂
Me too.I have learnt to read ingredients first for anything that I spend money on.
You're a sweetheart! I was eagerly looking for it, without you I couldn't relu on anybody
You look fantastic today! You have something very flattering on your eyelids!
I have oily skin and I love both the Isntree green toner and Benton one. I do not prefer one to another, I think they are equally good. I have at the moment 1 Isntree one as backup and 2 Benton ones. I buy several when I see them on sale. Benton ones I got with 7 EUR per bottle. A very good bargain!
Indeed!! Sounds great!!
I’m a man and I like the hada labo mens line. I agree that It’s the same as the Japanese unisex version but I’ll keep buying the men’s one because I’m glad they’re in the American market now.
Wow, your makeup is stunning! So pretty
You look so pretty!!Thank you so so much for these product reccomendations . You are an inspiration for me!!🥰
I was looking at the La Roche-Posay products in a store and some were in the men's section and some in the women's. The men's products had a sticker on that said 'Skincare for men'. They were literally exactly the same products!
"Fewer products, fewer problems" I wish I'd heard that before getting into the 10 step skincare craze. It didn't help my skin at all. I use 4 skincare products now (a cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen, occasional exfoliant) and my skin has never been better.
What are your go tos for each step? And your skincare type?
Did a bit of very enjoyable and informative binge watch today :-) Have to say whatever it is you're wearing in terms of sunscreen today and on the lips or maybe the lighting, it looks really nice on you :-) And i am curious what you are wearing ;-) I like this tip about toner, light lotion/serum, in the summer as i tend to get oily i just apply something like this and then sunscreen on top thickly and good to go!
You are gorgeous! Have you thought about a beauty tutorial? I love the simplicity in your make up look, it's very natural looking. Simple make up looks beautiful on healthy skin.
Lovely morning Dr. Dray.

You look fantastic today! There is a little something on your lids that is very flattering!
I only recently started using a toner for the first time and really like it. Not sure, if it's doing anything, but it feels very hydrating and pleasant.
I really like the idea of using them as aftershave 🙌🏻

I actually had purchased Sukoyaka Suhada Urea Moisturizing Toner. I have been fine with it and I use it before my serum (iUNIK Beta-Glucan Power Deep Moisture Serum), lotion and sunscreen. I have sensitive skin but have been fine using it, no irritation and it is so thin, like water...exactly like you said. I really like it.
Also I love the color on your eyes and lips. real pretty choices!
Enjoyed the review. Thanks as always. Happy Tuesday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a restful evening. 💛
Love Sana toners. Haven’t tried the Q10 one but the regular toner is a stable in my skincare routine.
😉I’m chuckling to myself, because in the last six weeks or so I have bought THREE of the toners in your video: the Isntree Green Tea, Hada Labo and Sana Q10! These are the ones I will probably stick with permanently, because they have worked out PERFECTLY for my skin and all of its persnickety phases!👍🏼💘🌹
Which is the best
@@lolam390 Actually, it depends on the weather! In hotter weather, I prefer the Isntree Green Tea toner-it’s refreshing. However, when the weather gets truly cold, 40 degrees or below, I go for the Sana Q10-it’s so soothing and moisturizing because it contains soy isoflavones, which are nourishing!
Hi Dr. Dray! I live in Japan and am in love with their drugstore skincare products, especially Sana. Everything they make is exquisite. The moisturizer is very hydrating and delicious feeling. I would also suggest trying Mino Amino Moist skincare line, which has some great products.
Which is product you use for cleanser?
I'm one of your fans who is a man and I haven't tried any of the Hada Labo Men's Line but I have tried a lot of their Gokujyun, Shirojyun and Gokujyun premium lotions and they all work well for my skin!
Yes, you need a hydrating toner. That's all I have to say 😂 But seriously, if you have dehydrated skin, using something like that under your moisturizer, is life-changing!
😊
I used the Insntree green tea toner and omg it is so good. My skin was breaking out so bad with red bumps and I didn’t know what the issue really was. I used this toner and in the next day it calmed down significantly and my redness was gone. I will use no other toner. As someone who has very sensitive, acne prone, oily skin this is perfect. It has no added fragrance(just a light herbal smell cause of the green tea) and it is really hydrating and doesn’t irritate and it is gentle for daily use. My skin is glowing
Amazing! Do you apply on damp skin and do you pat or rub in?
@@danielagentile8049 I apply on damp skin and apply it directly on my face then use my hands to rub it in
@@vic902 I am so glad I read your comment. I also have dehydrated acne prone skin.
What else are you using on top of isntree green tea toner?
@@SG-wq4rm the Iunik beta glucan serum or iunik tea tree serum is good. The beta glucan one I use in the night cause it’s a bit heavier then the iunik tea tree serum in the morning cause it’s light.

Love hydrating toners!!!
I just watched your old toners and essences video from two years ago. How did you know?! Love you Dr. Dray 😍
I used both Isntree and Benton Green Tea toners and I preferred the Benton one.
But just as Dr Dray said, it is just my personal preference, type of skin, etc.
Both are great toners, no harmful ingredients, very soothing and hydrating.
can u share why u preferred the benton brand? im also conflicted which of these two brands im going to buy. ive done my comparison research but still makes me confused 😅
@@skippynutbutter The Benton toner leaves my skin with no shiny texture/appearence. It is lighter and pair better with my serums and creams. The Isntree toner is a little heavy/shiny for me.

Hi there! Your videos have already taught me so much. Finally I have a term for these bumps on my forehead and cheeks: closed comedones!
I’m breaking out a looot at the moment, and I’m wondering if the new products I’ve introduced to my routine (it’s been a little over a week I’d say) could be the cause for the bad breakouts.
I’m 24, and I have combination, acne-prone and dehydrated (I think so!!) skin, and the new products are from Green People: their “SCENT FREE ANTI-AGEING 24-HOUR CREAM 50ML” and their “SCENT FREE CLEANSER 150ML” (I’m allergic to perfume). I fear that the moisturizer might be too “thick” for me. I’m also using PC BHA 2% every night (is that too often..? 😅) and sunscreen every day.
Please help! Thank you!
The “breakouts” you’re experiencing might just be purging bc of the Bha (since it’s an active ingredient) that you started using so frequently although your skin has no tolerance to it. Start using it only once a week and when some time passes start using it twice a week, repeat the process until it gets up to 3 times a week and just keep it there.
It is really tempting☺️ I am going to try one of these toner. I haven’t found a toner that I liked and I have been Skeptical about buying it. Thank you 🙏🏿 Dr. Dray
