6:53 the question was about the kpop movement and the recognition that THEY have been getting from overseas but Jennie mentioned *other kpop artists* , saying they looked up to them and THINKED "We WISH to be the group that opens up the door for other foreign artist ,for them to spread their music, because the music that you make isn't just for your own country" They are talking about their goal and way of thinking as foreign artist, saying there is no language barrier when it comes to music. They never said they were the ones who opened the door. Antis and Toxic kpop fans love to misquote what they say. Gladly Blackpink are keep thriving ✨

This is absolutely ridiculous! I asked the question with the intention of giving props to the massive success of the KPop movement & I think the girls answered the question beautifully and in NO WAY disrespected any other K-POP group...they simply said they wanted to be like the people/groups they grew up watching...and hope that with more people tuning in that other artists will be able to make their dreams come true too! I'm so sad that their words have been twisted into something so unnecessary...they were paying respect to those that came before them. And BTW...there are always new doors to be opened and barriers to broken down...Blackpink making moves in no way detracts from anything BTS has accomplished. She being the most hated K-pop idol always keeps smiling for us Blinks, giving us her all, never let us know how much pain she was in ("You say I'm good because you're a Blink, the way you look at me and the way the world looks at me can de different" "If I'm gonna half-ass do it, I'm not gonna do it"). Always looking out for other members, "I want all of us to shine together as a group" "I'm proud of you Jisoo" "Lisa's worked hard. She's done really well everyone." "I'm proud to see where Rosé has gotten to today. Worked hard for years. She once said, "This is my life and I want you all to know that Im both happy and sad. I'm still trying to figure out how that's possible." She shows her members how grateful she is for all the support and how much she loves the, she always supports, encourages, kames Jisoo feel comfortable and lets her know how grateful she is for how Jisoo always tries to make her laugh and for Jisoo just being there, she protcted Lisa and defended her and praised her in a concert saying "She's done well" which means a lot, she is always saying how proud she is of Rosé, the girl who was crying on the first day beside Jennie's bed to being this wonderful woman. A very nice person, she to Blinks, "You guys are my angels", "My Everything", she once said, "Everyone's existence alone is beautiful enough to let them shine". She truly is a GEM and one of the best things that happenned to K-pop.
Time will show the haters how karma hits well, when their favourite will start getting hate for no reason may be that’s when they will realise how it’s feel hating on a person with out knowing them and without any reason.

I completely agreed with you about Jennie. For years, she stepped up to answer the interview questions for the team whenever there’s too long of a pause. What’s even more admiring is the inclusiveness of her team within her answers. That showed complete care, love and acknowledgment of their ability as her teammates. Fantastic woman and idol.

So THIS is the interview that had BTS fans spewing misogynistic hate towards Blackpink the other day all over twitter and IG. All because they can't stand BP saying they wish to be the like the ones that came before them and open doors for others. Not only did BTS fans deliberately snip Jennie's answer to make it sound like a one-sided answer crediting only BP, they deliberately trended hashtags and firebombed BP's IG comments section with hate. It really shows what kind of fans they are when they hate four successful women so much that they would dedicate so much time to them and deliberately watch all their interviews.

I feel like the YG only chooses these types of interviews on purpose. They allow the girls to talk about the creating and don’t ask cheap questions about their bodies and stuff. After hearing about blackpink collaboration with Selena their was a video blink brought out of Selena, where she talk about supporting women and respect women even to her fan. That was such a nice words.
And blackpink always humble and kind whether what they are in a position right now. They don't care much about popularity they have but care more about us and happiness. Whether we like it or not is more important than a records. Love all them so much.

One thing I learned when I started to stan BP is that if people hate you they they will hate you as much as they want. Haters will literally give it all or nothing and use the rusty part of their brains. What happened a few days ago and the chaos of this comeback made me so tired. I'm just so proud of these girls they are the definition of strong willed woman which I want to be. There's so much more to come for them and I hope that they become stronger along the way. jennie was respectful in asking the question on what they feel about kpop becoming mainstream in the us. she acknowledged all artists, without any disregard (bts included), who had been promoting overseas first before she proceeded to answer kimmy b's question. growing up she has actually seen them especially she's under the same company with psy who previously made it big in the us. she knows the doors were already opened and she wishes blackpink to be like those artists who made it happen. mentioning only bts would be utter disrespect to artists who have contributed to the western expansion of the industry where she belongs to. she respects every single effort exerted by the kpop artists before them. listing every name was unnecessary.
