So grateful for his existence. He is so much within us and amongst us. I have listened to many Buddhist teachers who stray into confusion and fear when teaching. Thay makes it so easy to understand and ingrain into me the teachings of Buddha. Form is emptiness and emptiness is form. I now understand. 🙏

I was just in Hue this summer and happened to visit the temple where he resides... I learned that after visiting there, I certainly wasn't there to hound him or seek autographs. Probably the most profoundly peaceful and powerful place I've ever been to..it was almost overwhelming, and walking back to town afterwards i nearly passed out from feeling and emotion overtaking my body and mind. I don't want to name the temple but you can find out. I mean it was totally random really...there are loads of temples in that area and I just happened to pick that one.
Across the road from the temple is a pond with humongous catfish, carp, arawanna (or similar) and other fish that must have lived there for decades unmolested to grow so big.

It's quite simple really. Nothing has an inherent self. We are all the result of previous actions that came before us. We are simply the universe in motion, dying and being reborn each and every minute moment. The Buddha's teachings of dependent origination will probably make it clearer for you. Emptiness, karma, and dependent origination all go hand-in-hand.

It's true that without my father I wouldn't be, but now my father is dead, but I still exist. So I was only temporarily dependent on my father not because of my soul which is not empty but independent, but because of my not fully developed body and functionality of his organs which are limited by time. The body is like a house where my soul abide. And when this house no longer suits me, I will move to another better house. And the goal of my meditation is to transfer my soul into better body when time of death will come. The soul is permanent and idistructibile and symptom of the soul is consciousness which is magic power that can push the soul into another body and this means eternal life. There is no orchestra without a conductor and no symphony without an orchestra.

Emptiness is the truth of everything so don't get attache nor hate. Everything you think and are is you created, your mind. Your mind is the master and the creator of you and your world. You have to be very clever master of your mind because your mind also controls your heart and body. Since everything is emptiness in reality so it's possible you to become a great master of everything including your clever mind, innocent heart and your precious body. Realizing emptiness gives us so much energy. You are basically a Buddha if you deeply understood the reality of everything, the emptiness.

I've experienced voidness without any substance... it lasted 3 whole days... it was not pleasant... I've experienced the illusion of everything around me... I had no wants, no desires, not even an opinion or judgement because there was nothing around me, only emptyness. I lived my whole life based on intensity and strong emotions... it's all a lie.. who am I without all these emotions? it's all ego driven.. even our purpose in life
The only thing I liked about this state, is that there was no fear of anything. There was no survival mode.

@@nomad_333_ The conclusion of the experience I had is that there is nothing around us, externally, what the senses perceive is only the construction of a conciousness that wants to lead us in this unification process. There is nothing around us. All humans around represent the broken pieces we have inside. We all have the same purpose in life but different paths. All souls are looking for love and acceptance. Real love has no identity, no desire, no name, no preference. Real love has no FEAR.

Sounds like clinging was still present, which is not complete emptiness. Or perhaps when clinging returned after the 3 days, perception constructed the feeling of dislike. Self is a habit pattern. It is the shadow of desire (liking and disliking). Until ignorance/craving is dissolved, perception will continue to construct self out of sensory experience. Keep practicing without any preferences and you will get past this hang up

There is still a self but just an "ever changing self", is that what he intends to mean? Or if there is no self, then who tells there is no self? It still needs a self to tell that (a paradox)! Thus It seems to me the former interpretation is more reasonable?

its about the human mind, our concepts are not real, our words and concepts have no reality, without language verbal and internal, our world would appear completely different to us, it would be a feeling of oneness, seperation comes with the mind which creates the "world" our human world through concepts and we identify and fall for it, but in reality there is no I, no seperation, its only in the mind, therefore its in fact empty, interdependens.

Very interesting. I am going back and forth between Buddhism and Advaita Vedanta...it is interesting to note that Buddhism in some very core regards seems to contradict Advaita---essentially meaning that either Buddha was wrong in his assessment or the Advaita saints were (Nisargadatta, Maharshi etc.). Almost strange to think that such lights of human consciousness got it wrong.

That is not HINDUISM. The ..3000 year old is animal sacrificing BRAHMINISM...

Word HINDU is not mentioned by even Adi Shankaracharya (8th century A.D) in any of his book and commentaries...
When he himself did not mention the word HINDU, How did he unite HINDUISM is a biggest mystery in HINDUISM.....
      Word Hindu first mentioned in
