Happy New Year to all who celebrate Songkran, the solar new year, which is observed in many South and Southeast Asian countries. This video is a collection of clips (shot both on my phone and traditional camera) from the Songkran festival held at both the largest Thai temple in the US, called Wat Nawamintararachutis, and Wat Vararam. May this new year bring good health, prosperity, and happiness to you and your loved ones.

Pra pa deang is a district in Samutprakarn not Bangok. My sister in law has a food stall in Bang Num Phueng floating market where it can be reached from Pra Pa Deang. You can go to Bang Num Phueng by riding on BTS to Bang Na station, then take a local bus on San pha wut road to the end of the road. There is a pier and ferry to cross the river. Once you cross to Pra Pa Deang side you can rent bicycle to travel in that area. The price is less than 100 Baht for whole day rental.
