marriage is not supposed to happen because you want children but because you honestly want to support the other person in their spiritual development When that is the case that the couple can start to think about taking responsability and give an opportunity to a soul to incarnate in order to support that soul in her/ his spiritual development. Similarly an homosexual couple can support each other in spiritual life avoiding indulging in sex that indeed without the goal of having children is not really going anywhere. There are many couple in this supportive situation. That is also the case of olderly heterosexual couples: why do they get married ? because the want to be together and support themself , ideally in spiritual development. But doesn't marriage solely for procreation seem a bit animalistic? Like what about older grihasthas who can't have kids, or men and women with infertility problems - is their marriage spiritually invalid because they cannot have biological children?

Rather the goal is ultimately to cultivate loving service for Krishna, and every living entity has the right to serve Krishna the best they can. This was hard for me to accept, due to being raised in a jew-christian faith, severely contaminated by passion. Goodness is the mood where you have equal vision to every living entity, compassion is key in Krishna Consciousness, how would they understand their ignorance unless we give them the chance to learn the philosophy of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada? Let us not forget that the hippies were the first Prabhupada's devotees in the west: drug addicts, meat eaters, and most of them were homosexuals.
I would also point out that Allen Ginsberg wrote the forward for the original nectar of devotion. And he was a gay man. So, Gays surely aren't considered bad if prabhupada allowed that.

But putting that aside, Krishna is neither male, nor female, these material description of genders does not affect the lord, as he is limitless and cannot be described by us impurified beings.
