Tom is sooooo awesome , so imaginative and epic with bringing his images inside and bringing them into a reality and making which great movies . Epic man seriously
This is the adult version of my ideal playground. So much cool stuff and also the evolution of the horror genre and the special effects that made horror movies great! You cant go wrong with Savini's work!!
I would so love that Dr tongue.. My fave ever zombie.. Beat bub, beats any walk dead..just the ultimate zombie look. Superb. Wow and that whip sound.. Old Tom knows his whip.amazing.
I have to see some behind the scenes stuff or at least know something about how the beheading of pvt torrez was done on day of the dead. The voice box effect to this day Is something to truly appreciate.
Sighs.... a place to dream of. Thanks Tom! I haven´t got so mutch space, but I´m busy building my own style of costumes. Of course predator! And a few monsters 2.
Awesome room, but if I was there and the lights go off and I have a flashlight, I wouldn't even think about turning that thing on. I'd rather be in the dark. That's the best compliment I can give to Tom: "I love you, I love this, but keep those goddamned things away from me. I'm planning on sleeping again."
world needs more tom savini,s but luckily there only one real one. thanks tom..I was a huge dick Smith fan as kid n had a makeup kit he sold, miss the 8mm super 8mm days. sad this stuffs hidden away I hope it's stored properly...
Stop sleeping pills if you take some. If you don't, then share your wisdom. Never, Ever stop what you do, you rock ! That's the most marvellous attick everyone should have. A glimpse of the death, taboo but makes your stronger. You are building what life and hope undesire the most : an imagery of death. Why do people makes creations from death. Aren't we living too ? So what
Is this the same building where he had his special effects school? I remember IFC followed him around either here when he hosted the first Indie Screams festival (which was the best one).
I shouldn't laugh but the John Landis helicopter bit was pretty funny (in a twisted way) haha! I would kill to work with Tom, I would work for free, probably pay!
Fucking love Tom! Guys a legend! Such a shame people like him, Rick Baker and many others don’t get the work anymore :/. Hey Hollywood CGI AND puppets/ prosthetics CAN WORK IN CONJUNCTION TOGETHER!! Stop leaning to much to CG
@@landonwhyte2973 it unfortunately has, and it’s sad as both could work amazingly together, such as in the case of Jurassic park or even titanic. And awesome artists like Tom, baker, bottin, and Stan Winston’s former employees get less and less work due to the CGI takeover and I find that such a shame and a massive disservice to not only us fans of their works and skill but also a loss to the film industry as a whole
@silverscreenreviews8521 you hit the nail on the head. But I think the other reason why sfx people don't do big movies anymore is because the sexually eager film producers of today like to put a damper on the imagination of sfx artists and can't commit to one design. Rick has said in interviews one of the reasons he retired was because no one seems to know what they want the creature of the film to look like and won't commit to one design.
this is the tom savini we all enjoy - spontaneous and humorous !! This is one of the best videos I have seen of his spooky toy room !!
Tom Savini is pure Joy. I learned so much from his books when I was like 15 yo. Seeing him with his whip is enjoyment at another level. xoxo.

I could just stay and stare in Tom's workshop for months in absolute awe. Really enjoyed this video!
This might be one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Cheers!
I visited him there back in like 96 or 97...used to be a pool table in there too
You can actually see it there in a few of the shots, especially when Savini is playing with the helicopter.
Love Tom so much. Hope I can actually hang out with him someday.
This is the coolest workshop ive ever seen!! Wow so many of my favourite movie monsters are here!
he has all this at his house now i was there last week. great guy.

Kids in a candy store lol
I was at a horror convention in Ireland and Kane Hodder told us about Toms very big collection wow I believe it now he is a master of his craft.
I'm glad it was filmed for posterity before being torn down. A real horror fan's museum.
Sorry about the super sculpey Tom .Fluffy was great. Hope all is well. Great shop visit video guys, thanks for posting.
Watched this 4 5 times
he makes a lot of amazing things
Great camera work
What sucks is how crappy a lot of films are that utilize fantastic monster making. Tom Savini is a legend and that video was great.
Nubbins hanging from the ceiling. That would make my place feel welcoming and warm! LG's face is high on my list as well. Very cool
I would so love that Dr tongue.. My fave ever zombie.. Beat bub, beats any walk dead..just the ultimate zombie look. Superb. Wow and that whip sound.. Old Tom knows his whip.amazing.

So did all the props go into separate warehouses or something or did they show up up at some auction for movie props
most of it is in storage at the savini school
lol at that Landis joke
There may be gory effects.
Yowza!
Dang tom savini was not happy!!
That book is expensive as crap..
Wow a "twilight zone the movie joke" lol 8:22
😢
nothing like the taste of shop dust,
rotting latex, silicone, plaster dust, silica powder. . .. . .
3 little boys loose in a toy shop, too funny
Does anyone know the name of the book? X
That book sells for over $100 on eBay & Amazon.

Well, I mean, Rick retired and does his own things and said he doesn't plan on working on more movies
@@landonwhyte2973 yeah but the people he trained and taught don’t get the film projects is what I’m saying

Too bad this isn't in HD.
chadergeist82 sorry, there were no consumer HD cameras yet.
The baby fetus lol
7:13 lol!, fetus.
Love this guy but joking about the Twilight Zone incident was in very very poor taste.
That "get the kids outta the way" gag was a bit rough, Toms a funny guy but that gag was edgy, lol.
He’s no Stan Winston or rick baker or dick Smith get over yourself
