Great video, the man will be missed. In the next 8 years we are going to lose everyone important to ROck history. Only a few things though, the doctor didn't say that. The doctor said "you can't give blood, your blood will kill someone." Also, his nickname came from when he worked in Wales as a kid, it had nothing to do with borrowing money.
(these were things he corrected in interviews personally).

Hey, if you want a nice little Lemmy appearance in a movie, there's a 1990 sci-if film called "Hardware" that he appears briefly in. He plays a water taxi driver who takes two characters into a downtown area in a post-apocalyptic setting. The song "Ace of Spades" is heard in the water taxi as he talks about how bad the world has gotten. It's a nice little scene with him.

The weird thing, I actually blasted my "Ace of Spades" album the day before he died, I hadn't listened to it in it's entirety for absolute years. I had no idea why, all I can describe is that I had the urge to listen to the album, it was like a disturbance of the force. So you could imagine my shock the next day. RIP Lemmy, a one of a kind.
Odd that you should say that mere hours before I was blasting Overkill and Bomber on my way home from work (I have an hour and forty five odd minute trip back from work). Woke up and checked Metal Archives, thought someone was trolling when there was a thread about it. I was fucking stunned. A colleague of mine also had tickets from his wife for Christmas to see him. I was getting tickets for a gig in January but they sold out.
I had no idea that he passed... I'm quite sad now.

LEMMY WAS AN AMAZING PERSON AS WELL. I was taken to a Motorhead show by a great guy and friend to Lemmy. We had backstage and said hi before and then after in a drab backstage area Lemmy said to the 12-14 of us "there must be someplace better than this around here going on". Not hearing any responses knowing the area I said I know of a bar that serves good drinks is not small has pool tables good music and the topless dancers do not beg or hassle you for money. He said "sounds good lets go"! Most or all of us did and Lemmy and I sat at a booth and talked for a bit over an hour just him and I. We talked about various important parts of life and music. He and I thought alike to nearly everything and he was a very good moral person. He was no different acting than he was on stage but very friendly down to earth without a rockstar syndrome attitude. Being a huge impressive well liked by countless other rockstars and fans. I was stoked to hear him tell me it was nice to talk with another that knew what was up. I told him I was stoked blessed and impressed what a great person he was above his music. IN MY HONEST OPINION HE IS IN THE BEST PLACE OUR SOULS CAN GO. RIP IAN (LEMMY) KILMISTER

I met him once, at the Charlton House Rock fest. I was one of the roadies for the backing discos. There was a band there called "Laughing Sams Dice" on the bill and were supposedly Hawkwind without the famous names. He turned up and played with them. His first words to anyone he knew was: "Lemme a fag! Lemme a smoke! Lemme a fiver!"
I met Lemmy at the bar in a club once. He asked if he could have my girlfriend, his exact words were "She's nice. Can I have 'er?" . I was well up for that but the missus wasn't so keen. He bought me a pint for trying anyway. It was one of those rock music nights at the Hippodrome club in London in the late 80's. My mate who was a rabid fan followed him out the club to see where he was going. He want to Soho where all the porno book shops were in London at that time, before disappearing into one lol. He was a rock god. An all time great. God I feel old lol.

He did not join Hawkwind as a guitar player. He happened to be hanging with them before a gig and the bass player did not turn up - however the bass was still in the van and Nik Turner handed it to him and said "Make some noises in "E". The rest is history.

I met Lemmy in 1979 at the Top Rank Ballroom in Brighton, when the management would not let us in as we were all under 18 (licensed bar.) Not only did he threaten not to play unless we got our ticket fees back (we got our money back ) -but he then got a roadie to let us all in for Free around the side door !! And it was a WICKED gig !
