    In English what you call the 'second part' of the title is called the 'moral of the story'.

      You could say that. In Chinese, these stories have become idioms. The first story is commonly referred to directly as “塞翁失马,焉知非福”(the direct translation should be "The Old Man lost his horse, how would you know it’s not a good thing?”)

      @@JM_Shen Yes, this makes sense. I've seen some of the more common idioms like this but don't always know the story behind them.
