I had the opposite experience from him. Grew up Catholic and as soon as I got to highschool I realized how non-Christian most Christians act. It’s supposed to be a religion about love and acceptance but from my experience it’s anything but that. I also was incredibly lazy and had a huge problem with procrastination. My excuse? I’ll get to do everything in Heaven. It made everything far easier to believe that there was always someone there for me, but eventually I started thinking “what if there is no God and I won’t be able to accomplish everything I want to in Heaven?” That thought becoming more and more prevalent in my mind as well as a variety of other factors I will not discuss caused me to agnostic/atheist. For clarification (because people always tell me I use those definitions wrong), I really don’t care if there is or isn’t a God. I don’t think there is, because of lack of scientific evidence, and I’ve leaned away from Christianity because most of them are either idiots or bigots/dogmatists, while the rest are using religion as a coping mechanism (good on them!) like Ryan here. That decision has made me far happier (albeit a bit nihilistic at times) and I’ve become far more productive and I’ve disciplined myself to get through mafan situations. May not seem like much, but we’ll get there. It may seem like I’m bashing Christianity, but I feel nothing but firgun for Ryan finding happiness in Jesus

They're supposed to be recognized by their love and patience and it should be spread to others equally. My heart reaches out to all that have had bad experiences/ trauma that have happened and the cause of it is from the church or someone who claims Christianity. Can’t stand how condescending Christians are in this comment section. “God saves everyone”. Yeah, except for the billions of people who don’t believe in him. If you send people to eternal torture simply because they don’t believe in you, due to you being just another invisible god that people wrote about long ago, then your love is not unconditional, and you are a psychopath. “Jesus saves!!!” How? Nonbelievers before him didn’t go to hell. The only difference he made, according to Christianity, is that the Holy Spirit came into the hearts of believers. Cool, how does that save anyone if you have to be saved in the first place to experience the Holy Spirit? Also, the holy spirit is simply just the feeling you get when you believe that all is going to be ok because you believe you’re loved and taken care of by a god you can’t see, or it’s just your own discernment, depending on the context. man has a killer ab workout too
Im so sorry but for a moment when he said ‘I could have a relationship with him’ i immediately thought of Ryan dating Jesus
Bro what the fuck
Why do you feel the need to voice that?
One more reason why Ryan Trahan has quickly become my favorite youtuber

It doesn't matter what our faith is, if there is something that makes a person this happy about living life without hurting anyone else, it is admirable. I'm happy Ryan's found his happiness :)
God bless Ryan!❤ never lose faith in God Ryan! Even when times get rough, always pray to the Father!
HECK YEAH YOU GO RYAN !
Good for you! 👍
Have you ever read or explored Summa Theologica?
Yeah, most of the “Christian’s” that you’ve experienced in your life probably weren’t real Christian’s if they were doing that
@@paru-chinbaka5214 I have not. Care to enlighten me or should I look it up?
@@AsymmetricalAce You should look it up! :)
I grew up with a very religious mother so naturally I felt force to follow the same belief. Eventually I stopped believing in all that stuff because I wanted to feel “free”. There was a time in my life where I was going thru SH*T like it was BAD BAD and no one could understand me even the people who went through it. I was extremely depressed and ignored god. After a while I found myself praying to him and after learning more about him then THAT got me out of that pure sadness. ❤
I just found his channel recently and dude is just a positive energy. It's really refreshing on this site to see someone with this message and his positivity.

Dude the comments here are so wholesome I love it so much how people are sharing their own options and beliefs without being hateful and showing love to one another. It's little moments like these that make life okay and show that there's actually okay people out there. I'm so glad that there are some people who don't believe all Christians are bad and stereotypical. Now I am a Christian and do I believe that there are really bad Christians out there? 100% yes. I hate how so much hate gets spread around by the people that are just meant to love everyone regardless. Christians aren't supposed to be known by their hypocrisy or judgement. They're supposed to be recognized by their love and patience and it should be spread to others equally. My heart reaches out to all that have had bad experiences/ trauma that have happened and the cause of it is from the church or someone who claims Christianity. I completely understand and I have been through this before. I deeply apologize and I hope that you are healing and know that you are loved and seen.
I hope you have a wonderful day
You should check the newest ones, they're the comments that's aren't wholesome
@@Briskedshasra You’re right. While there are some atheists here that are genuinely nice, there are also some that aren’t so friendly.

This makes me wish Ryan would be bold about his faith and incorporate it into his vids so that more people can find this overpowering love and joy through Ryan and God’s plans for him. May God’s will be done in his life. ❤😊🎉

Why are people praising for losing Faith, and becoming an Atheist.
But scoffed at for finding a Faith, and leaving Atheism behind.
Well, they're opposite things, so of course they'd have opposite reactions in some communities, but most of the time it's the other way around in this situation, and although I don't quite know what the metrics are here, there's a lot of people on both sides who are supportive
@@rowboat10 Yeah that is accurate. It seems like people enjoy the disbelief for some reason.
@@tiffany7023 Disbelief in god or atheism or both?
As a Catholic i find this very amazing, i feel like I haven't met another Catholic in a long time (other than friends and family who go to church with me:0)
Thank you Jesus for saving us
Horrible reasoning
I don’t go out picking fights with Christians, I don’t advocate to imprison them, I respect the right to believe, but I do not respect their beliefs themselves, because they are downright delusional and hateful.
Have you ever actually read the Bible?
@@lizzynoelle1959 I grew up Christian. Went to Church. Went to Christian school. Yes, I read the Bible. I had to memorize verses for classes at school and church. I know good and well about Christianity and how the whole “grace and love” shit is a cop-out for the looming threat of eternal doom for those who don’t believe. Rereading the same bullshit verses about how “God loves u (unless u don’t believe)” isn’t going to change my mind in the slightest.
@@kcaustin904 well it doesn’t seem like you paid attention well, or you were taught wrong. God doesn’t send people to hell, but He is perfect and therefore will not ever be in the presence of sin by definition. The only way we can be justified is through His Som, who He sacrificed for us
@@AJAM23 “God doesn’t send people to hell”. Right. He just *allows* them to burn for eternity for the horrible crime of… not believing in the invisible god. They aren’t punished for their sins. Christians have sinned countless times. Everyone makes mistakes. Nonbelievers are punished for not believing in him. Point blank. What separates the validity of Christianity from Islam? Or Hinduism? or Judaism? All of these religions have their own unique ideas of what life is like after death. Problem is, they were all written by ancient humans who had not a damn clue what death was like. Assuming the god of Christianity was real, how come staying hidden is a bigger priority to him than saving billions of souls? He could reveal himself in all his glory, state which religion is correct, and almost everyone would believe in him. Instead, he expects everyone to decipher which ancient religion is the right one. The concept of that sounds fucked up to any normal person, but if you believe that your god is infallible not because he chooses to be good, but because *everything he does is inherently good*, then you are a fucking sheep. Believe me, I paid attention for many years. I believed it for a while. I eventually reached an age where I saw that it was total bullshit. You’re not going to convince me that worshipping a god nobody can see who’s allegedly responsible for torturing a majority people that ever existed is a good thing because he also sent his son to get tortured for us so that we could continue to get tortured if we don’t believe but at least we have a less shitty role model to worship. Keep your roleplaying to yourself please.
I would like to state that God doesn’t send people to hell and hell was not made for us however if you chose to hate and ignore God on earth why would you spend an eternity with him in heaven
I'm so happy that he came to Jesus
I’m a atheist but I will never take away how important religion is to some people.
Doesn't seem like he was an actual atheist in the first place. Seen many of these stories. If you're a good person it doesnt matter. Just be a force for good and not evil, no matter what you believe in.
Whatever floats your boat! As long as it’s not hurting anyone, believe in it. I am mostly atheist but I have made my own sort of creator figure. It’s comforting tbh. It makes me happy to see people finding comfort in a religion that speaks to them. :)
"Eh not sure I vibe with your religion. How bout I just make my own? : )"
@@limeyell0w945
That's not what I got from his message, and I doubt that's what he meant.
I'm sure what he means is he's mostly an atheist, though he believes their is a creator or god out there somewhere
So whilst he lives life with atheist beliefs and under that lens, he's not entirely convinced that there couldn't be a creator
I'm very much the same
I'm not an avid believer in the religions we have on earth
But I am inclined to believe that there has to be a creator of some kind
