  • The ActiGlide from L&R helps you to get your socks and hosiery on more easily. It helps with tights, thigh length and below knee hosiery. It works with both closed and open toe styles. It is available on prescription in the UK. The video shows how to use it.

This actiglide does work though as stated can get caught up in the toes, but is easy to free. People with Rheumatoid arthritis in the hands may need to feed the compression sock over it in stages as it becomes painful and energy sapping. Plus is the actiglide can be easily removed using the looped webbing over the forearm resulting in pain-free hands. Have tried other products (Leaving me in extreme pain) at the Occupational Therapy department.
O.T nurse agreed this product, that I demonstrated, was superior to any she had seen. Would I recommend this product? Definitely.

Can you show us how to take them off? If you do it wrongly, it will do as much damage to the sock, according to the instructions.

most of the time the acti-glide gets stuck under or between the toes and I have to start the process all over again.

Does not even reach my heal, has caused injuries to my toes and is very painful to use. So painful that I don't use it and can't use compression stockings I have been given. Total waste of my time and NHS money, I feel that this is a total rip off

Spider ....Just spent over an hour trying to get the stockings on, with my husband’s support. Though I do not have the actiglide yet, the surgery has ordered one, I am left with bruised and painful lower legs all because of the efforts involved In trying to get the support stockings on. I was measured for the stockings, so I have the right size, but I think the stockings will end up in the dustbin. Such a shame, as once the stockings are finally on, they give good support.
