How long do you think that yacht was? count the cars and give me your suggestion
200 meters or so
Another interesting segment.Pasta is considered correctly cooked in Italy if "al dente" which is undercooked by US standards. Looking forward to the coastal road to Rome.
I'm really enjoying your tour of Italy.Look forward to the next one.
im glad you are enjoying it..
That made me laugh. It seems that the dog had never seen a recumbent trike before.
probably
The yacht was humongous! Because I ride mostly bike/hike trails, the only dogs I encounter are on leashes. 🙂
I bet the shower felt great after a night on the ferry.
Dinner looked delicious.
Keep on Triking!
It was lucky for you that the dog owner came and take care of the dogs
YES! really lucky. I have no idea how it would have turned out otherwise.. but i was preparing to be mauled a bit... they were not happy the first time i passed by.
Another GREAT VIDEO!! I especially loved you sharing your evening meal with us. Yum Yum!
Al roads lead to Rome😇Safe Travels
A Tail of Two Doggies.
Tune at the end was a unexpected banger!
You are a amazing man, quite a adventurer. God blass
Love the emoji face.
LOL.. trying different things
Honza probably knew the dogs were there and wanted to you to show off the Azub boss mode.
HAHAHAHAH hope i did a good job
Once on a very rural Oregon backroad, I got to a section that began a very steep climb, which required gearing and slowing down to climb. Well, wouldn't you know it, just as I began the climb, I passed a double wide trailer that set back from the small paved road. It had a long driveway, and two large and aggressive dogs came barreling out of the garage, appearing hell-bent on having me for lunch (the type of thing where I didn't really want to find out).
Usually, when I have encountered hostile dogs, I have enough speed that I can pour the coals to the pedals and outpace them, at least to where they tire out and leave me alone. But this time, I had no speed, and realized I had no option like that. Thinking quickly, at least as quickly as my brain allows, I made the decision to stop totally, cross my arms in front of me, and stare straight ahead, paying no attention whatsoever to the animals that were about to make contact.
On a recumbent tadpole trike, at least I had the outrigger wheels and handlebars to provide a little protection. I learned an interesting thing that day. Once I stopped and ignored the aggressive dogs, they immediately just came to a stop and looked at me from about seven feet away, circling around, not understanding why their "prey" was no longer moving. At that point, the animal owner came into the garage (about thirty feet down the driveway) and called the dogs back. I wonder if this technique would always work.
These days, I do have a small canister of Sabre dog repellent on my trike's left fender brace for quick access (have yet to need it), and I sometimes carry a Sabre stun gun, holstered around my torso, if in really remote areas, as backup. But really, having been triking since 2009, I have yet to have a dog physically contact and bite me, so perhaps all this new stuff is based on fear, and unnecessary.
steve
some spray would be good. IM glad in this instance the road was narrow with bushes on either side.. i was able to squeeze him out from coming around in front of me. use the size and frame of the trike to control his movement. im just happy his buddy was not joining the fray... i might have gotten overwhelmed
@@JaYoeNation The great thing about recumbent tadpole trikes is that the design does help immensely at keeping hostile dogs away from biting us. The outrigger wheels serve the purpose of protecting much of our bodies, and yes, our ability to swerve does the rest. I feel sorry for bike riders, who do not have the protection we do!

They say: "All roads lead to Rome."
Hello Matt . Never go to the Aveyron or the region of Rodez , as most of the dogs will chase you there ..
whats the longest detour you have even taken accidentally? in this video i took a 15km detour
70km riding down the wrong side of a mountain. Already thought the views looked different from those in the morning.
@@driewiel haha. That’s a big one.
But also a fun unexpected adventure
@@JaYoeNation Hey. Downhill is downhill. Technically it's never the wrong side.
Dogs. That's why I carry a dressage whip with the trike.
Concepteur ouvert d'esprit 50
The 🐈 could chase you but they don't care.😂😂😂
I didn’t want to have to find out.
That's why I like my OH shit gear yup push my throttle button and I'm outta there of course I'm on my highest setting.
Bravo.......bike touring....... bike drinking bottle of water......go slow let the dog ketchup......when breathing hard........spray on nose and eyes.......they loose all there steam.....game over.......cheers
With regard to chasing dogs you need a rear gunner on that thing.
Haha. I thought I did ok with the defensive driving to keep him from getting around to the front
speaking as a recumbent rider from southern italy, i can indeed confirm that, there is nothing that pisses off dogs quite as much as recumbent cyclists
HAHAH
