My new hood is coming tomorrow! I got the VIS AMS '07-'08. I got the same hood latches you did except mines the locking latches. I also have the same hood that you have sitting in my shop. I took it off of my car because the clear coat started to turn white and it looked awful! I should have just wet sanded it and sprayed a new clear coat myself but I wanted the VIS one. Can't wait until tomorrow.
Doing the same install on the same hood you got, but the getting the hood pins to slot through the aerocatch is a pain. The front part of the hood where the latches sit are very angled, and the pins sit straight up, so it lines up pretty poorly. I keep shaving down the pin slot on the aerocatch with a dremel. Did you have to do this too ? Were there any major fitment problems ? Thank you btw this vid is my guide
@@gianvmarco The quality is garbage, the pin mechanism inside the latches fell apart while I was driving on the freeway, the hood catches wind underneath n slams into my windshield, I was doing 60, the eBay dealer was gonna refund me $20, but wasn’t gonna cover the fiberglass hood or broken windshield,

is water fine getting in the engine bay through the vents
Water gets in no matter what even if you had no hood pins or carbon hood, the extra little bit more if any will not affect anything
