    Thanks for the review la. I just installed B6’s with B3 HD springs on front and B3 springs on rear (non-sport). The shocks damping makes the body feel very controlled and safe. Its really confidence inspiring.
    I watched your review before I purchased and it helped me make my decision. Respect. - 2011 BMW 323i CDM.

      Which shop you do it?

    Got B12 kit on my 2008 Corolla! Night and day difference from stock! The Corolla inspires more confidence in corners than my stock 2011 128i….but!! Soon the 128i will have the B6(not wanting it much lower due to driveway), paired with the BMW yellow performance springs. Then the 128i will be a true dream in the mountain roads!! Bilstien in my experience makes very good products! This line of shocks, is stiffer than factory, but not too stiff! Plants the car very well in corners and after bumps it settles quickly and nicely. Still gives good ride quality, though you will know you’re leaning towards sport, and away from comfort. But it’s just a lean. Still enough comfort, unless you have some Detroit quality roads lol. Then maybe go more for a “rally” setup if potholes are a major issue where you drive lol

    I'm always like this, watching reviews after I already purchased and installed the product, just confirming my observations on my vehicle. I also installed one set of Bilstein B6 on my Ford Everest, I'm using it in the Philippines by the way. My reason for installing the B6 was more of a preventive maintenance as my vehicle already past 5 years all on stock. My stock shocks were still in good condition, hence I did not have any high expectations of any significant performance or riding comfort gain with the B6. I chose Bilstein B6 first because of the reputation of the company, and direct replacement of the stock shocks without modifying the ride height. To my surprise, the change on the ride quality was really significant - it was way better than expected, You will be able to feel the significant improvement right away, especially driving around the streets of Manila were pothoes are unavoidable. Bilstein B6 is a great upgrade. Just a note that after the replacement, I needed to have wheel and camber alignment - the steering wheel was not centered properly after the installation - this is recommended when replacing the full set of shocks.

      So the B6 wasn’t a big issue with pot holes but an improvement?

      Oh I’m so happy with how the car rides & handles now! It is absolutely planted to the road and is so responsive - although I have to admit I also put a thicker rear sway bar on as well - long, sweeping corners at speed is nirvana.

    Currently with G30 that has adaptive m sport suspension. Will the B6 be suitable?

  • @uTAPOUT1
    @uTAPOUT1 Před rokem

    My f30 msport driving is so harsh man. I’m thinking to switch to the b6s? Would that help for my case? I don’t want to lower it I just want it less harsh going over day to day bumps etc
    Would I need to do both front and back? Could I reuse my springs?

    Why you put B6 ? If you have M suspension, then your springs are short.

    Excellent. Thank you for your drive comments. Most useful i found today. I have a 2 ton elephant called VW Touareg TDI. I drive every day both city and highway. I need a tougher suspension to deal with the heavy weight. The car bounces too much and sways on long corners. I need to recover control and something that will take the pounding of a heavy weight. B6 seems to be your best reco... correct?

    I put b8s on my 1st gen brz. Quality suspension part. I think it does best over higher speeds on bumps and imperfections.

    Hi, i also did a B6 installation but i'm very disappointed w them as they have made my ride more bumpy. Could you advise what could be wrong? i keep hearing good reviews but mine feels so bad i wanna remove it to stock.

      Did you pair it with stock springs or lowering springs?

    • @lmh-mv3ec

      @@hakimrahman85 Hi thanks for the reply. I paired them w the stock orginal springs. Is that good?

    • @hakimrahman85
      @hakimrahman85 Před rokem

      @@lmh-mv3ec B6 should work very well with stock original springs & B8 are meant to work with sports lowering springs. Having said that, both B6 & B8 are considered "sporty" shock absorbers so typically you'll feel that the ride will be "bumpier" than stock shock absorbers. How bumpy in comparison? There's no definite answer to that as there're many factors to consider. If you're looking for similar ride quality as stock, B4 is the correct replacement for original shock absorbers. Now what you experience at the moment with your current B6 set up is relatively subjective as one person tolerance to harsh ride differs to another person. Best to get second/third opinion in regards to your car's bumpy issue and assess again. Another possible factor is that the original springs are not able to synergise with the B6 shock valving (tuning) hence why it's bumpier than before. So changing it to an aftermarket springs like H&R or Eibach may work but this is also trail & error.

    Not true about RFTs. Michelin Primacy 5 is like a magic carpet ride. MSS springs and Eibach might be the best riding springs.
