I love discovering new states that are far away from where the DLC is focused. ESPECIALLY if they have releasable nations or new cities. I hope the US gets an update where new England is fixed, more cities are added, and big US states are divided into multiple in game states

@braziliantsar nah, remember this game takes place in the 1930s, so no infrastructure at all
Impassable states exist because the AI will just deathstack on areas with super high attrition leading to the AI never having equipment and manpower

Today was my Geography exam in school. And questions were based on brazil.
Pampas, Amazonas,
Equator passes through north of brazil, Marajo Island, Urbanized regions in brazil.
And I answered them all perfectly.
I played Hoi4 so much that I could write the answers quickly.

Try deleting your Paradox Interactive folder, not HOI4 but Paradox Interactive, but don't delete it, just cut it and back it up somewhere, I did that and my state names were fixed, before that names were like STATE_69

Espírito Santo having the same population as Minas Gerais is insane, that should never be the case. That would make Espírito Santo an urban center and Mina’s gerais an empty scape of land which could not be further from the truth.
and it's funny, that's what the game did, Espirito santo is Developed Rural region with 4 building slots and alright infrastructure, while Minas Gerais is just a rural region with one of worst infrastructures in country, which makes no sense, it has worse infrastructure than every single state except for Tocantis and those jungle states, I think even Amapa has better infrastructure, its laughable, MINAS GERAIS NATION RISE UP
Meanwhile, less populated Bahia, has 5 building slots, while minas has 2, but Bahia suffers from other issue, it has no victory points, only Salvador, that is still worth just 1, while even random villages in middle of jungle are worth either 1 or 2
@@sejozwak honestly I think Brazil has too little victory points, I mean we can use the obvious example of Turkey as a contrast. Maybe at least 5-10 more victory points would be great for some flavor especially considering the size of the country.
@@sejozwak I don’t know if paradox cross checks this information with official census data but they really should. The way the game is right now makes very little sense especially considering that Brazil at this time has just left the Coffee with Milk era where the elites of São Paulo and Minas Gerais would switch the leadership of the country between them. This only happened because they were the most influential states economically at the time. The way it is right now does not reflect the success the state had historically

@@krasnamerah1926 buddy, finding new states and provinces isn't Nuclear science, it's just a matter of finding the one that has the biggest ID in previous version (when AAT came out), and then just giving occupation of any province with bigger ID to some new nation, for contrast color them black and white and brute force type your way until you see an error (no province ID), then you reached the end, in my case, I had to type into console like 80 times and it took me maybe five minutes
Also, Bahrain turned into its own province, finally!
And now capital of Qatar is Manama...

Africa isn't really important in HOI4 since it's only fought in Ethiopia and Libya, but I do agree they should give Africa a ton of new tiles, provinces and victory points as massive African countries are just 1 state with a few really large tiles with 1 low value victory point with no building slots

the state borders are HORRIBLE, nothing like in reality
imo state borders shouldnt follow actual administrative divisions most of the time. instead it should follow potential conquests and historical national borders.
