Great to see you back🎉🎉❤
Hi Julia, so glad to see you back. My question is about a good bow hold for someone with very small hands. My pinky is extremely short and I often end up propping it on the top of the stick of the bow because it doesn't comfortably reach over the stick, especially when I'm playing on the A or D string. I feel like many people have ideas about good/proper bow holds, but not specifically for small hands. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Great to see you back your videos are very helpful 👏
Are you still posting? I just found your channel 😊
Hi Julia, Great to have you back on CZcams. What is your opinion on practicing with eyes closed? Do you feel it is beneficial? Obviously, this would involve playing memorized pieces. And, if you don't mind another question - how often do you recommend re-hairing bows? Let's say two hours a day of practice as amount of use. Thanks in advance for you help.

How can I study spicatto?
A video explain it, please!!!
Thank you
Glad to see one of the best teachers is back!. Your videos have been most helpful. My question is as a progressing newbie would you at this time upgrade your strings on an entry level bow or just upgrade the bow? what do you look for in purchasing a bow? I also hope to upgrade the cello later. Any suggestions? Thanks.

My bad. I meant to say upgrade the strings on an entry level cello or .....Thanks
How do you play/practice chords like thirds and fifths? Saw your older video about finger proportion/small hands and I’m curious what tips/methods you have for that.

When practicing a difficult passage, scale, etc., how long should we keep trying it if we aren't getting it right? Should we keep trying it for 10 or 15 minutes and then move on to something else? Is there a point of diminishing returns - so to speak?

Hi Julia..great vids..im grade 6 doing dance rustique but just cant get my speed up. I can play error free slowly...but even a little faster and shifts slip and slide around. Is playing faster just the same as slow, 9nly faster, or do things change? Im thinking amount of bow for e.g. any ideas? Thanks, Mark

Hi Julia. My bow hold starts out great then quickly deteriorates as I play. My hand slips and slides until my pinkie isn't even on the frog anymore. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I've been playing cello for 3yrs. I had lessons for about 1 before I couldn't be enrolled anymore due to not getting vaccinated. I still have trouble with my bow grip & the muscle tightening under my thumb.
