After 7 year the worm entered the brain as the brain is developed but actually the physician said that she put the baby in water and saw the worm coming out of his body. I think that the worms were also be controlled by that new character and may be later king will also be controlled by that mystic character 🧐

I would do the same if it comes to that. You got poop on you, you can just wash away if you get eaten alive by zombie that would be painful and not only that you will turn too so poop isn’t bad afterall.

That young king's eunuch looked rather suspicious at the end in my opinion... He was laying there whilst the young king was asleep and it was at that time that we saw the zombie worm on his face..
I personally feel like chang choosing not to become king was more for political reasons than to search for a cure and that his desire to search for a cure with seo bi came after he realised he had to make a choice. Although he was crown prince, he was the son of a concubine so many saw him as illegitimate whereas the young king was the son of the queen who is also a cho, meaning that all the powerful families that supported the chos would revolt. He wanted peace post plague and he also didn’t want to have to kill his best friends son so this was an alternative that allowed him not to have the throne he already didn’t want so this was a simpler way out for everyone.

The suspicious woman who appears at the last scene has a different type of sword.
Her sword is not Joseon type and it is curved.
Mongolians, Persians, Indians and maybe Manchurians had such type of swords and it means she came from foreign range.
So I'm sure that we will see expanded world next season.

As for the pacy sound track there at the end...The culprit appears to be wearing pirate uniform. The period the series is set was one where the aftermath of the failed Japanese invasions was that many pirating groups grew to plague the region. It could be that the first time the Ressurection Flower was used was an accident. However, among the fleeing invaders were some that took it 'personal' and decided to get to the root of the matter. They perhaps investigated the matter, found out about the plant, and decided to retaliate by causing the plague to break out in controlled fashion while they studied more. Once they discovered a way to eliminate the plague's obvious weaknesses they would then launch crippling attacks across the board against their enemies before swooping in to take the prize.
We must remember that from the beginning the series has been about consequences and repercussions. Like we just found out that Lord Ang lived miserably because of guilt. The consequences of political infighting breeding psychopaths and sowing confusion. The repercusions of the Joseons employing such a vicious tactic in the beginning are being felt right now by remnants of Toyotomi's armies looking for revenge. Judging by the culprit's age, she must be close to the former Crown Prince's age so may have been part of a noble's followers...
So the fast-paced sound track was to indicate a shift in focus and implication. They are getting to the heart of the matter and the reason for the plague. The enemy is found and their motivations clear.

Yea but the timing is great though. Really think about the Wuhan market had always ate and sell bats or any other animals. The fact is that it’s spreading like this is not a mystery. Also we were told to stay in doors but yet Apple store in China is still open why???? And how come the world hasn’t shut down traveling or demand everyone to take a test for Coronavirus??? And why the toilet paper lol? And why use infected blood as a cure ??? Are children really dormant to such things ??? Declare a state wide emergency but don’t demand test and still travel ... North Korea is safe because they took measures...... in don’t blabbing on

This is by far the best structured zombie storyline. In season 3 zombies know how to swim and will come out from pond water in the Kingdom. The new character is a villain. She is from Heowan Clan.

I loved Season 2 so much that I rewatched S1. The people behind the writing are too damn good!
In S1 E1 there's already mention of MuYeong's backstory about his wife, the Prince's fondness of him and it comes full circle in S2.
In S1 Ep 3 there's a scene where they fell in the water with some zombies and it's only now that I recognized the worms were already there! Rewatching S1 makes me appreciate the genius behind this production. They definitely have a plan for all this. So stoked for S3!

It will probably just 6 episodes with season 3. Korean dramas/series usually have either 16, 18 or 24 episodes. If this will end by season three, then it is following the 18 episodes number.

There's a write up on the NetflixKingdom sub reddit about Chang's decision to abandon the throne. It gives an explanation about how his guilt is based on his Confucian teachings, and how heavily the beheadings of his father and teacher weighed on him. After all the trauma the plague caused, it's no wonder that he would rather leave it all behind. The first 2 seasons take place in the span of a month (?) so I think he just couldn't process everything clearly in that moment.

This show is the bomb. Damn season 2 left me waiting for season 3 now. I love the intensity of this show.
Have u watched walking dead or west world ? I stopped watching both but they were amazing shows at a point... wondering if u felt the same
I hope that the mystery character in the end is not simply an entirely new character with an entire separate plot from season 1 and 2- what I mean is instead: I hope she has some type of blood relation to Chang/prince. The zombies are one amazing aspect of the show, but the political/family conflict make the show as good as it is. So, what I hope is that there is a major twist of about this new character. I hope she (or the group of people she works with) have some hidden history to the royal family. This will explain why the young king is being poisoned and it turns the arc of Chang and his claim to the throne to be way more complex after a lost lineage arises to challenge that claim the kingdom. It will expand the breadth of the story further back in time beyond the three years prior when the zombies were used to fight the Japanese. Chang’s mother, or possibly Chang’s sister?, anything a long those lines is a major win I hope to see.
Also, I read from another video someone commented about the scene when Chang spared the baby, his clothes were covered entirely in blood 🩸 and blood which is red = the color of the kings robes. Although he spared the life of the baby, Chang at the moment was truly the king. It is so much more moving and powerful once you see this. Bravo to the show for another good season. It’s both a shame and a pleasure to have watched it all in one sitting.
It was good from beginning to end I really enjoyed it.I just wish there was more than 6 episodes.I wish they had maybe like 10 episodes instead of six since we have to wait so long. However if it's going to take away from the quality the excitement the grandeur of the show. If that's the case I wouldn't want to change anything but if that's not the case can we please have at least 10 episodes please please please. But again if I admit to I was very satisfied with the six episodes on both seasons.I didn't feel cheated ripped off

Discovered season 1 by chance last week and then saw that season 2 was released the next friday. it's sunday now and I binged like crazy! This was so good, loved everything about it, even the villains were very interesting. I jumped up when Chang got bitten and cheered when I saw the worms flee his body.
Can't wait (well I just have to) for season 3. And I thaught that she was a villain at the end, but I could be wrong of course.
PS. I loved watching it subbed, but I am in Europe, so I am used to it. The dubbed was " not fitting"

1. He is not a monster compared to cho guys who is willing to dump people in the lake to secure his or her power
2. Conflicts will rise in the future if a guy who beheaded his father, a son of concubine, and the person who's everyone hated gets the throne

Moo-young broke my heart. I cried because of him. Also Prince Chang's promise to Moo-young was that Prince Chang would save and protect Moo-young's family. The nobles were already demanding the death of the child who threatens the throne. Prince Chang loved Moo-young and kept his word. He does his duty to the kingdom anonymously, and he protects Moo-young's wife and child with the help of his people. I love this show and I want the next season.

For people that love the show & maybe love reading manga/manhwa. I recommend "Shin Ango Onshi" as it could be the prequel or alternative universe to this series which is also from the same OG author of this show. It's an epic dark fantasy within Joseon Kingdom that also have rather horror themes with undead & evil & demons.

@@santos8468 Yes, you have to watch My Sassy Girl, Windstruck (many can argue windstruck could be a prequel to My sassy girl), Il Mare (American remake "The Lake House" by Keenu reeves and sandra bulock) and My Love from the Stars.
The TX Channel I watched My Sassy Girl. She gives a great performance, but the movie itself is very weird.
This is by far the best explanation for zombie virus in any movie or show.

The only thing that confused me in Season 2 is the first giant horde of zombies that they failed to repel in episode 1 seemingly vanished or stopped being important once the main characters reached the capital city lol. You'd think they would probably spread the plague across the continent in 3 months of being permanently active...
The queen's father ordered to close all gates surrounding the area. (Season1 ep.5) And 3months after the palace fight, spring came and they went back and burned all the bodies.
Worm remains dormant in new king body because before he was child and she said that childrens are immune to it because their brains not full develop
There was a part in the 2nd season when (I forget who) one of the characters says the flower also grows outside of Joseon in the neighboring territories. I think the new, mysterious female character might be a mercenary from Japan to retaliate against Joseon for defeating the Japanese decades earlier. *Or* it could be a Manchu mercenary, which historically makes sense, as Joseon was attacked by Manchus in the Middle Joseon Period.
*Fun fact*: the writer was inspired by actual unexplained epidemic that killed hundreds of thousands of people in the southern part of Joseon during the Middle Joseon Period.
It was actually mentioned in the finale that it came from a merchant in China.

Can anyone explain why in season 1, people seemed to turn into zombies very quickly after being bitten but in season 2, it seems to take a lot lot longer? For example, in season 1 episode 2-3 the prison guard who locked the door had his hand bitten and turned very quickly within seconds in front of Seo-bi and Beom-pal (I think that’s his name.. the really cowardly guy) but in season 2 during the ice fight scenes, the prince was bitten on the shoulder and still managed to break the ice and throw that massive zombie guy down. Did I miss something important or did anyone else pick up on this inconsistency? Fantastic show nonetheless, can’t wait for season 3.

At the end, Seobi's journal explains that. For some reason the worms favor cold temperature, but they thrive in extreme heat and spread even more quickly.

There was a scene where one of the guards (idk what he was exactly) to Cho Hak Ju (the queen's father) was on his horse, overlooking some shit, and he had the physician's patient journal from the first season with all the info on the resurrection plant. I think he was the one that spread all of the info about the resurrection plant because he was still loyal to the Cho clan or something. I think the character revealed at the end is going to be some sort of bad/good guy. Like, maybe she uses these monsters for shady shit but she needs answers about them so they sort of team up? And as for the king, I guess I can believe that the dude at his side during the ending reinfected him because they both had that weird thing on their wrists, or maybe that person was also young when they were infected so that thing on their wrist is where the parasites reside until they can travel up to the glabella?

I think the guard on that scene with the journal was thinking of who he should side with. But since the truth is already in his hands(journal) he sided with prince chang as you can see they made a plan on ditching the palace guards so that prince chang can enter the palace easily

I think, the last scene, the parasite in kid’s head will be show different way to control in his head. That’s too much cliche When one bite any part, they changed zombie very fast, but in next season, they’re not gonna show very easy way from infection process. Perhaps they show special intelligent zombie in younger king’s character.
I do have a theory about the young king, if you have played the last of us you know how Ellie is “immune” cause the cordyceps mutated and if you read or watch the girl with all the gifts, awesome book you should read, you know that, and this is kinda a big spoiler, the children are special cause they where born with the cordyceps the didn’t got infected, so the fungi enters into a symbiotic relationship with the host instead of trying to take over, so my theory is that maybe the worm is able to adapt and entered into a symbiotic relationship with the host that is beneficial to both
I want to see a series made from the point of view of one of the Japanese soldier and his samurai ninja group. All the horrors they lived 3 years earlier and how a righteus/ Korean sympathizing/humanitarian Japanese soldier survives the invasion attempt and fights his way back to a surviving ship that gets run over by an undead straggler. Holy crap, that'd be amazing.
It's a hit if there's Ji Jun Hyun.
Their cast is really star studded tho. For example the Crown Prince Chang already starred on some films like Along with the Gods and Lord Cho-Hakju starred on Miracle in the cell no. 7

What about the guy the crown prince met with who was a relative of him? I believe he was abandoned or had to go to exile?
And what about the real bio. mother of the young king? Nurse said that she has improving but crying for her baby....
Next season will be more exciting & maybe much more funnier as Jun ji Hyun stars in this series!!! Woahhh maybe can be also prince's love interest? Hmm.. Been 2 season without a love interest right.

This may be a unpopular opinion, but perhaps the new king's advisor is the one whom is behind it all. Whereas the female character we saw at the end of S2 was there looking for him/way to track him down, or just info, for the advisor is the reason for the outbreak.
