    So encouraging for those of us who can only hope to play a piece of music such as this.
    Thankyou 😊

    This is how fast I can play it now. Not sure if I’ll ever get as fast as some people play it

    • @dalilsty
      @dalilsty Před rokem +5

      slowly you get far, i'm sure one day you will! and another thing, faster not always equality as better, focus in playing it right in the first place and in the interpretation. if you can do it slow, you can do it fast

    • @JD-72191
      @JD-72191 Před rokem +8

      Well it has been 2 weeks and I’ve still been working on this piece daily. You’re right I am playing it faster although I have to keep working on the difficult parts more. Again, I still don’t think I’ll ever play it as fast as some do, but I am pleased with my progress with this so far. Thank you for your encouragement!

      Can I have an update? How do you play it now? Because your comment is from 5mo ago. And now I have your situation. I've been playing it for 2 weeks and it's still slow and not good enough :'

    • @JD-72191
      @JD-72191 Před rokem +3

      @@blutuh i can now play it about 1.75x-2.0x the speed of this slow tutorial to give you a reference. It’s not as fast as it is played by more experienced pianists, but I really think that if I kept working at it I would eventually play it faster. But I fell in love with many other pieces, one being Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 9 No.2 which I think I play better than this Waltz in Am. Because I am busy learning other pieces my progress with this Waltz is has slowed, but I’m happier playing new pieces than just sticking to this one over and over. Good luck. 2 weeks isn’t that long. I’m sure you’ll soon master this especially if you don’t get too busy learning other pieces like I did😊

    OMG thank you for this, the slow tempo you played this in made it more accessible to me in my learning. As well as it being played beautifully.

    Bravo 👍🏻 Not easy to perform this in one shot without mistake. I’m 52. I started piano 2 years ago. For the moment, this is the most complicated piece of music I can play. Beautiful Chopin. And I just start working on The Entertainer. 😅
    Keep it up ! Piano is an incredible instrument 😊

      It is not an easy piece. Anyone can play it, but play it to the perfection of timing and trills, because you have to practice it a lot. I encourage you to continue playing the piano even if it is for ourselves.

    Nocturne in Eb major: sounds easy, but actually difficult.
    Waltz in A minor: sounds hard, but actually easy.

      it isn't that easy
      technically, yes it is easy (not so easy for absolute beginners)
      but if you want to play it beautifully you have to invest more time in it

      It's marked "moderately fast" or "allegretto" so something around 100 bpm.
      czcams.com/video/j76vXRJqaWM/video.html
      This is one of my favorite performances of the piece and in the video she plays anywhere from 90 to 110 bpm depending on what part she's playing.
