Omg omg omg! Love love love these! And yes I'll be having a go! I've got Me Doodle on a mission to beg a Tyvek overall from somewhere! Lol. Yours seems to melt a lot quicker than the bags. Your flowers are gorgeous! Beautiful colours. I've got those brads too! Bargain! Tfs. Hugs,Dee xxx
Hello Nina :) Soooo cool :) I am hoping I have enough time to do a few before Papa gets up this morning :) Off to collect my supplies :) tfs, and I hope you have an Outstanding Day :) amy
these are lovely. I've done them with music paper but not anything else. I bought 10 sheets of tyvek paper from eBay for a couple of pounds. I love the feathery feel to it. with the bits you had left from cutting the circles o couldn't throw away. I think they'd look nice cut into tiny bits, coloured and shrunk really small to use in a shaker or to cover an embelishment with
Finally got to finish the beads. Took a long time for the paint to dry. My tyvek is thicker than yours so it doesn't stick to itself. I had to glue the end to itself to get it started. But they turned out pretty anyway. Then after watching this video, I took some of the pieces and made the flowers. This is really a fun techniques. Can't wait to find out what we can do with those little pieces.
These look good as well as the plague you made with your tyvek beads. Tyvek will go on my list to try later but I've put a temporary ban on buying new things at moment. I've bought loads of new things lately I need to get to grips with and use them. Thanks Nina.
These are awesome..... you were quite cute with your excitement as the tyvek started shrinking!😆 When I go to the post office to mail packages I will grab a few extra tyvek envelopes to use in my crafts. (I mainly use them to strengthen my hinges in my handmade journals. But tonight I'm going to have a go at making some of these! 👍🏼😁
Thanks for your kind comment Kimmie, I hope you managed to make some too. I now have a little box with the left over shrivelled scraps. They do look like tiny beads don't they :)
Gorgeous...thank you so much for showing us this. Just put in the order for my XL tyvek suit for $6.27 US dollars. I've been holding a couple of tyvek sheet packages in my cart for several months now, but haven't put the order through. Once I saw your video yesterday I knew this price has no comparison. That low price includes the shipping charges...unreal. Thanks again :)
Thank you so much Nina, I’ve watched this before and I still really really love 💕 those flowers. They’re so stunning and gorgeous and cute too. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
So, so pretty! Beautiful colors and the texture is amazing! I wonder how a leaf or two would look all shrunk up behind them! I am crazy about these Nina!!!! Hugs, Debra!
Hi Nina, This is my 2nd watching of this video which is so much fun! Watching your excitement is quite infectious. The flowers are beautiful and now that I'm refreshed, I shall do my own with a big mailing envelope I just got. Thank you so much. Jane
Thanks so very much for sharing your Tyvek experiments! My husband's company utilizes tyvek suits - think I'll see if he can snag one for me so I can have a play with some of the techniques you've shared. So exciting!
That is very cool! The flowers are wonderful. It looks like the thinner "paper" is better for this project. Nice! With the scraps, I would probably bunch them together and spray them and then melt them together and see what affect you get. Could be pretty cool. Tfs Diane
Hey Nina, try burning the edges of them. I use them after I've colored them as an overlay on my layered water color paper designs. OMGosh they're beautiful and the texture gives each piece a great look after I gloss it. God bless
Oh, wow Nina - the flowers are absolutely stunning!!! I defenitely will give it a try! I love to melt Tyvek, but mine is much thinner and I used it only to make corals for my sea themed pieces! It's a big fun!!! (The left overs could perhaps melted down very much and used in the middle of the flowers?)
+Almut Olsson Thanks for your kind comment Almut. Funnily enough I've just melted all the left overs and they look so pretty in the small box I've popped them in. Great idea to use them in the middle of the flowers!
Wow! Those are amazing! I'm sold on Tyvek now 😀 I think I'll have a go with making some poppies and then maybe attach a med one to some cord and make into a necklace, I've also seen someone use this to make small bowls by heating it as it's molded around a glass or another bowl - can you colour both sides? Would be cool to do the different colours on one side and then maybe gold or silver on the other to get a contrast look 😊 love the inspiration thank you! 💖 Kate x
+Angelchakra Thanks Kate. I'll have to see if I can find the bows. I like your idea of painting the reverse side in a different colour. I'll definitely give that a go! Thank you ☺ xx
My suggestion on the flowers would be to slit each layer first up towards the middle of the flower so when it's heated it will curl up like a pedal of a flower. More realistic effect. Linda Winchell
You're very welcome Nina! I found something the other day that I'll share with you using used dryer sheets. I take water color paper, cut out a shape six or ten times depending on how thick you want it. Then take your used dryer sheets drop some food colors on them, ring them out and throw them in your dryer to set colors. Then lay the finished product over the top layer of your water color paper piece. Glue it down with white glue then trim edges. The texture is beautiful! I am doing all kinds of things with them! Jewelry, and flowers. God bless

Lovely 😊 Nina, I've coloured a sheet of Tyvek and I'm going to make some flowers 🌺 out of that. Where did you buy the Tyvek suits from please.
+Mags Nash Hi Mags, I bought mine from Amazon. I think it was the XXL size! Have fun 💕
Wow! Those are amazing! You're very welcome Nina! I found something the other day that I'll share with you using used dryer sheets.
