One of the many aspects of motherhood that begs for humility is birth.
As I mention in the video below, my first home birth experience tha-REW me for a veritable loop, so this time around though I’m doing all I can to put the odds in my favorite for a smooth birth, I'm also keeping in mind that there are aspects entirely out of my control.
It’s like a dance.
A tango with the universe. (Maybe birth is a metaphor for life?)
Yes, there are absolutely practices that you can do that make a scientific difference - one in particular will knock your socks off - and we’d be remiss if we didn't do these things, but in the end, we also have to practice the magic of “non-attachment.”
Which is, uh, not my strong suit. awkward grin
Ahhh, the joys of life and its inherent lessons in personal growth. :)
