- Coming off a disheartening loss to San Francisco, the 8-2 Dallas Cowboys travel west to take on the 8-2 Oakland Raiders. Will Barry Switzer's squad get back to their winning ways, or will their Super Bowl aspirations officially come unglued in the Black Hole?
Pat Summerall and John Madden call the action for FOX. Enjoy!

The BEST commentator duo in NFL history.
That is an obvious comment. I'm not even gonna go in. But it didn't need you to say it for it to be known.
Booger McFarland #boogerwasbetter
Ugghh, no
Pretty dull actually.

Rest in peace Madden and Summerall.
I love that post no one did It better than them to guys 👍I can't forget Tom Brookshire he was Pat first partner RIP Tom
Two of The Best Commentators in NFL History RIP 🙏 Pat Summerall John Madden We Miss You
Missing the Sunday mornings listening to John and pat it will never be the same
I remember this game being billed as "Super Bowl XXX Preview". Good times
RIP Pat and John
Both.teams came in here 8-2. Cowboys going on to win it all while the roof caved in on the Raiders.
@@denniseverett1904 raiders caved on themselves.
@@sherrellbritt6136 I’m a diehard Raiders fan and that’s true … Hoss was banged up and our OLine wasnt the best except Wiz … I was so hyped for this game … then reality set in … Dallas was the better team.
I remember this game from Australia. It was kinda spoken about as Deion's breakout game for the Cowboys.
how can that be? raiders were only a .500 team. ain't even the best team in their division. Chargers went to SB the year before, Chiefs got Joe Montana, Broncos with Elway. Raiders were just a ok team.
This was the golden age of the NFL. Nostalgia maxed out on this one
PLEASE !!! The NFL'S heyday was LONG before FOX ever got involved in football.
1000% 1995-1995 was the best era of football no question. Bears, Niners, Giants, Bills, Cowboys were great franchises
@@tracyisbest Preach! Golden age was the 70s in my book. Long before I was even born.
Madden & Summerall are the best ever.
I actually watched this game in 95. I'm a big Cowboys fan.
Wow, great memories here. It was an overwhelming feeling when I saw this video. There will never ever be broadcasters like these two extraordinary gentlemen. They will absolutely be missed. R.I.P. Pat Summerall and John Madden.
R.I.P John Madden ..Oakland Raiders Forever.
He won a Superbowl, as a coach for them.
Thats a nice tribute I like the Raiders and "Redskins" football teams.
Want to thank you for posting this ….. not because I am a Cowboy fan but because at this point in my life it is nice to see the past and hear those voices and sounds again. It may sound strange but viewing this was a spiritual experience…. God bless you for posting this.
Well said man
This was the start of an 0-6 finish by the Raiders that year
L M A O . You're right ..
@Sheha Nagaraj Since 1986, yup. Having become a fan in 1985, I feel like I got sold a MF lemon. They were the best franchise in sports from 1963-1985...and I got this shit group that fell off a cliff.
this brings a tear to my eye....when football was football
"If you only throw passes over 10 Yards...You only need to be 1 for 3... " -Vintage John Madden
Ain't nothing like Sunday a.m. at Tha Coliseum!!!! Major Fun!!
Was at this one. Always fun to see your team's season be helped off the field just before halftime. It's really OK to run out the clock in the final 30 seconds of a half.
This was ironically just like the 1992 game in LA. The Raiders, while only 3-4 that year, had won three straight, including dismantling the Bills and had all this good feeling on a dysfunctional team. But just like '92, the Cowboys seemed to assert or in this case, reassert their dominance while sending the Raiders off in to the abyss. They never recovered from this game psychologically. Which I don't understand because the Cowboys were a great team and losing to them shouldn't have spiraled them the way it did. Unless, you're a dysfunctional group on the verge of teetering to begin with.
Hoss was hurt and was pretty much at the end of the road that year … Mike White was disciplined enough to help the Raiders over this possible SB preview and still Week 17 against the Broncos still couldn’t win to make the playoffs as a wildcard. The 90s Raiders were very enigmatic at best.
Dallas was another level
I know this one has to hurt the Oakland Raiders fans who lost the team again after the 2019 season. This was Madden's first time back for a Raiders game in Oakland since the team moved to LA after the 1981 season. Back when the Cowboys were actually a dominant force in the league on their way to their last SB title. If the Coliseum looks a little different that's because it's the way it used to look before the renovations started after this season where it was closed in all the way in time for the 1996 season.
How ironic when John Madden said that was good to see the Raiders back in Oakland where they belong only for the Raiders to leave Oakland again in 2020, 25 years later! Smh
Is Jay Novacheck in the hall of fame? He deserves it. By the way even a blow out is interesting with Madden and Summerall commentary
Novacek is not in the Hall of Fame. I doubt he'll ever get there. Maybe one day he'll get put in the Ring of Honor.
@@RyansCowboysCorner thanks for reply
It's a crime but no he isn't. The greatest tribute I can think of for Novacek is that the triplets never won a Super Bowl without him as the starting tight end.
@Jman417 Novacheck aint no hofer
@@ashleighelizabeth5916 both him and Alvin Harper were the death blow to a lot of teams. So many times watching a 10 yard run from 22, a 14 yard catch from 88, and a 35 yard bomb to 80 for a score or a slant to 84 for a score. So much depth.
90s & early - mid 2000s football was the best imo.
I think so. It was great for the NFL.
Great memories with John and Pat. Very entertaining.
I use to get as much of a kick out of hearing Pat say "Space, above and beyond" as I did with "Murder.....she wrote." (over on CBS)
Deion had both the stamina and talent, he could've played both ways more than he did.
I remember seeing a man holding a sign while I was there that read "Pee on Deion". Now days I might agree but back in the day Deion Sanders was THE guy.
1. All Jerry had to do was offer the job to a real NFL head coach (like Schottenheimer) and this team would have won 5-6 SBs. Barry was a great college coach, but was out of his league with this bunch. I despise JJones.
2. Emmitt is the best RB ever.
3. Novacek is one of the most underappreciated receivers ever.
4. Deion is the best CB ever.
5. Troy is the 2nd best Cowboys QB ever. Dallas has had such success over the years because they have had good QBs almost every year. Does any franchise match their succession of Meredith, Morton, Staubach, White, Aikman, Bledsoe, Romo, and Dak?
Look how beautiful the Oakland coliseum was
Only from far away 😂
Vince Evans was always a true professional 🏆
Back in 1995 I was so happy that my Fox station WAGA channel 5 in Atlanta was showing this game
Interesting Madden comments: “Artificial turf has no place in this game “ and, referring to Deion Sanders, “He’s as fast as he wants to be, which is faster than anyone else in this league “. Beautiful.
Excellent intro for John Madden.
seen some real good hittin go on in this one. tom brady is a great QB- but its no way hes playin at 40 in the 90s era. not if hes gotta take this week in- week out
Football should have never left Oakland California
I remember this game because the Raiders thought that their new star WR Rocket Ismail was going to be able to beat Deion . That did not work out to well LOL
Missin’ my Oakland Raiders!!🥲
1995 would be the final SB winning season of the 90s Cowboys dynasty. Even though they won 3 SBs in 4 years it somehow feels like they underachieved. That’s how good they were. RIP to the greatest broadcasting duo of all-time, Pat Summerall & John Madden.
Amazing how these two teams never met in a Super Bowl in the 70s & early 80s. And thanks for the upload. I’m downloading as many Summerall/Madden games as I can.
They almost did for Super Bowl XII, but Denver snuck in instead.
2:43:20-shows a video image of these limos outside stadium and Summerall said that’s doesn’t look like Oakland. Lol
The year 1995 was a victory for Raider fans as a whole because they returned home to Oakland after being in LA since '82.
Jimmy's last Championship season, and he did it from a yacht in Florida with the inertia of the 1992-1993 seasons
Damn I remember the cowboys won, but what type of game was Troy having to be 19-24 with 4 minutes left in the game, but on the drive they had before that time frame, he had 3 incompletions on the drive.
So much to say here, both these teams traditionally always fielded descent competitive teams. Aikman and Hostetler both had SB rings. I liked the scheme of football strategy in these days (the mix of run and pass equally too).
Aikman had 2 rings by this point
“Sixty minutes will be seen immediately following our game except on the West Coast”
Sorry this fox not CBS
It was dope to hear John Madden shout out Lompoc and VAFB which is now VSFB.
The only NFL game I ever went to. I had a Cowboys pull-over on and despite being in the 3rd grade, my mom and I had to be escorted to our seats by security. The last year it was fun being a cowboys fan
Back when NFL players could still stand for a few minutes to respect the National Anthem
This was the first game i ever seen in my life
That's when my raiders gotta be the sorriest team.
There is no corner in NFL history who could make that play Deion made at 32:14 He gives a 4.3 guy a step to bait the QB and reels him back in to make an over the shoulder pick. Thats HOF ability right there.
Great play but terrible ball by Hoss. Should’ve been 6-8 yards further up the field and much more inside.
I watch Summeral and Madden just to hear their voices.
Whenever I watch decades old football I just say to myself damn these are tough men 😂
RIP Màdden& Summeràll The Best Commentàtor in NFL they were
This offensive line was ridiculous! Williams, Allen, Donaldson, Newton, and Tuinei 💪🏾✊🏾🙌🏾
✭Cowboys Nation✭
With future pro bowler Ron Stone and 365 lbs Derek Kenard as backups. Insane
RIP Pat Summerall and John Madden.
Great commentators of football.
Loved watching cowboys growing up in the 90s
I watched this game summerall n madden the greatest
All these names I haven't heard since we moved from the bay in 98, Chester McGlockton, Harvey Williams, Rocket Ismail, Jeff Hostetler, Napoleon Kauffman... I'm a Cowboys fan but living in Alameda from 92-98 I knew all about the Raiders and 9ers.
This is random but I love it.
My Dream Super Bowl Game Cowboys vs Raiders.
1:17:50 Love Madden's blunt comment about artificial turf
54:00 The moose conversation was priceless lmao 🤣😂
Mr. Moose, Mrs. Moose , there were some awkward moments with John
"She had the questions all written out and the answers" lmao 🤣
Damn I miss the Raiders being in Oakland…😢 commentary duo is 🔥🔥
Should've had SB XIII, as well..also against the Steelers..but, kudos to Terry Bradshaw..he was as tough as they come, actually highly intelligent and very durable, even as injured as he was..John Stallworth and Lynn Swann also two of the very best, and Franco Harris was a bull, with halfback speed..this coming from a lifetime Cowboys fan..I study film, watching replays of games, noting the rule-change differences and how many more penalties would be called now(a LOT more)..
Actually that is the first time I’ve ever seen “Bradshaw” and “intelligent” in the same sentence.
9:06 Emmitt heard dem bells 🔔 n thought Jack n Gene was lurking!!
Just like across the bay at Candlestick Park, the field was soggy and slippery
Las Vegas Raiders just doesn't sound right!🤔
It never will.
It’s bull shit!!
Oh well suck it up. They brought in the highest revenue last season.
Las Vegas Raiders just doesn't sound right! Much respect from a Denver Broncos fan.
As a life long Oakland Raiders fan I approve the Silver and Black attack 👍🏿
Their last world championship was in the city of Los Angeles
As they defeated the redskins the NFL’s number one offense in SB18 in Tampa by the tune of 38-9 (1984)
I remember being disappointed if the Cowboys didn’t win by at least 10 back in those days.
Nice job on the video. I miss John and Pat. Don Meredith with them woulda been a real hoot.
Their last SB win..SB XXX, against the Steelers..
Jerry Jones last Superbowl victory of his ownership with the cowboys.
Even listening in 2023, I can still tell Madden and Summerall were the best ever. On a side note, the stigmatism of "not wanting to make a tackle" or "not wanting to make a play cuz he didn't want to get hurt" attached to Deion's name shows up at 17:56 and 23:17. There's probably more, but I am going to stop watching this video at that missed FG. I gtg. Plus, I don't want to sit and nit pick on Deion. He was amazing. He is the top 3 best defensive player to ever play. (Lawrence Taylor, Deion, Aaron Donald, maybe Ray Lewis? Am I missing someone else?) So it feels a bit blasphemous to criticize him. It just that those 2 plays came blaring out at me and I thought I would bring it up. LOL
Aaron Donald Top 3 Defensive players of all time??? Maybe top 50. Too many great defensive players over the years. Deion is definitely top 3 corners ever.
@@kevinbayard3861 Aaron hasn't played as long as some of the greats so he doesn't have the numbers. But his prime years were pretty amazing. He was such an impactful player during his prime. Deion top CB imo.
I was at dis game n it started our downfall wit us losing 6 str8. Damn Tha Coliseum even as toe up compared ta Sofi orr Vegas stadium 🏟 is a Relic mane Town Bizz!!
37:17... This don't make no damn sense for a offensive line to be this dominant .... This play took forever and it still led to a touchdown emmitt Smith is great but ..... That offensive line is otherworldly
Man, Hoss had a rough one.
THANK YOU oakland politicians for letting every single sports franchise leave oakland. we now have not one single sports team in oakland.
Deion strings out and brings down Raiders RB Harvey Williams, nice!
My best friend took me to this game, first Raider game I was 20 years old. got to go to many more after, my favorite was AFC Championship against the Titans.
I was at this game as well wearing cowboy colors. I was in the 3rd grade and my dad bought us tickets but he couldn't make it so my I had convince my mom to take me. We were escorted to our section by security 😂. Only NFL game I've ever been to and I'll never forget it.
Great stuff gives me energy what a great shot of goodness
Back then when they where actually good
God I miss 90s NFL. There is absolutely zero facet of today's NFL that is better than what it used to be. In every way, shape and form it is the worst it has ever been.
Too corporate now!! And my team left so I’m pretty much done with it anyway…
Eventually every game will be on a different streaming service therefore forcing you to watch even more commercials and can't change channels to watch different games. Its all about $ now. The football is just a side note. Greed! Greed! Greed!
That's just insane @32:15. Catching up with Rocket like that?
Deion was the best corner ever , after all this time even in 2022 there is still NOBODY with skills like him , he was fun to watch👍🙂
What really would make the NFL complete, is if the NFL should include commentators in the football hall of Fame. They should have enshrinement of the great commentators of the history in the NFL.
The Boys last Super Bowl season 6 HOF on this team Larry Brown loosing his son became Super Bowl MVP with 2 ints against the Steelers then Larry became a free agent and went to the Raiders in 96
The game was excellent at this point in history. It’s much better to watch this than modern NFL where the games are rigged and you can’t actually play defense.
The Oakland Coliseum is "something special" and "these fans are something else". Pat knew what was up....Oakland is now Detroit 2.0
9:20 Mike Jones from Richmond ain't know joke. STL should a treat him better
Vince Evans should have gotten more play time
Aside from this game, Madden could not have called many game from this stadium?
Wouldn't think so, I agree.
One of his first games in 1979 vs the Falcons, this game, and Monday night in 2002 vs the Jets and 2003 vs the Packers (The Brett Favre game) are the ones I know for sure.
SHould've never built Mt. Davis
Deion !!!!
The best there was!
Yes true …. The GOAT in that position. I was soooooooooo happy when Cowboys got him !!!!
Seems this was before Mt. Davis was built! The Coliseum always looked better before that monstrosity.
When Deion picked Dat ball n held it up Dat ripped our season off top n I still ain't c how. We coulda won 1 game,!!
This was before 9/11, wokeism. Roger Goodell, and $5 a gallon gas.
Before the Orange Clown hijacked Lincoln’s party and turned it into a criminal organization.

Wow jus think 35mil was a whole deal back den,!! Fa Prime Time n now days a bum QB years salary
If John Madden knew his beloved Raiders would move to Las Vegas, he would roll over in his grave
Albert Lewis , Terry McDaniel great corner tandem!
These were the days!
Miss you guys. ❤
The best. New announcers these days suck.
Man if we could just go back in time hu
32:21 deion says "look what I've got"
