Hey CVV. My Pure Plank showed up on Friday. I LOVE IT!
It really is a great product!
Love It CVVCLIPS Bro.
JBL played an important role in making the John Cena as a rising superstar.
100%
Ugh. I stopped watching WWE on TV in 2008 because of Jawn Seena.
This comment Shows That You care about cena. Jbl has more Talent than Cena
Not just Cena, JBL helped cement Eddie as a legit main event guy.
Disagree it Started with Kurt Angle and should have ended with Kurt Angle
I love that he really thought about this instead of just rattling off a name.
That was a damn good answer, JBL sold that character and wrestled his ass off.
I like how he had to go far back into his mind to answer the question
Heck I'm glad he actually answered the question instead of skirting it as a lot of people might do
He took his time with the answer, makes me think is real.
Jbl is lucky triple h didnt want to work Tuesday
😂😂😂😂😂
Paul Heyman
One Night Stand '05
When I think of underrated WWE wrestlers I do think JBL. That run of his as JBL from 2004 to 2006 and again from 2007 to 2009 was really good.
Mark Henry I also think off when I think underrated WWE wrestlers.
So yeah, JBL and Mark Henry come to mind.
damn, taker thinks vacant is underrated.
Vacant holds the most titles in Wrestling
@@jayczzzyayeah, but no one appreciates how good his runs are. Some absolutely insane title runs, for sure
Kane, JBL, and Test are ones I think of when it comes to the Undertakers opponents
Gotta have Mankind in there
@@patshowiedoit5340People rated Mankind, he was always highly rated compared to JBL.
I can't forget Jake the snake.
@@kevin084lifePretty wild that is the case because prior to the mankind run he was super underrated
Test! Albert… Albert had better matches w/ Kane though 😂
I agree. I liked JBL too. I thought he brought back the classic "I'm better than everyone else" heel that you would have seen in the 80's and 90's and modified it.
I totally agree JBL was so underrated and now look at him now,WWE Legend
He was trash. Bad worker and a bad promo. They just had so little talent at that time.
@@smellywaffels1967 I get not being a fan of his in ring work, but I can't at all agree on his mic skills. JBL on the mic for me is one of the greatest heels of all time.
I LOVED JBL as an Acolyte and the APA him and Ron were GOLD!!!
@@smellywaffels1967 Jbl could get an entire arena to turn rabid with a promo, thats something most heels nowadays can only dream of. He wasn't the greatest worker, but able to have passable to good matches with various wrestlers, no great classics, there have been far worse wrestlers in the main event in recent years.
he was a bully, period
Props to Taker for knowing the difference between underrated and underutilized. A lot of people don't.
The Undertaker is the greatest
Fact
him and hogan
Facts
Him and Cody Rhodes
@watersandblue6001 nope only Taker!!
I would say Bam Bam Bigelow..the way that man could move and hit some high-flying assaults despite being a fairly large man is HIGHLY underrated and not talked about enough!
That's not true, Bam Bam is always mentioned among the most gifted big men ever and his skills are very well remembered, I don't think he's underrated at all - people know how good he was for a big guy.
@@jonathanturbide2232 yet when is he ever brought up in any discussion these days? People talk about Bray Wyatt, Big E, hell even Ivarr and Otis at times, but no one mentions how Bigelow did it first! When was the last time the LT match at WM 11 was spoken about? Exactly, he might be given his props amongst the old heads of wrestling, but his legacy isn’t fondly remembered to this day…sad but true
When was Bam Bam and Taker in a program together?
Of all people, I didn't expect Taker to doubt El Dandy? 😡😤
Who is that?
JBL so good and underrated. Always remember absolutely hating him and him being and absolutely wuss makes me realise now how good he was
Ultimo Dragon for me you talk about the greatest in ring technicians of all time Dragon is right up there with the best of them.
Yes finally someone who appreciates ultimo dragon. Him and mysterio started my love for luchador style wrestlers. They let their body tell the story
The question was who was the most underrated wrestler he worked with, I don't believe Ultimo Dragon ever worked with Undertaker.
Yes but he's definitely not underrated, the guy is a legend and everyone that wrestled him praised him as one of the best ever. It's clear people know how great he was, after all we're talking about a guy that held 7 or 8 championship at the same time, it's obvious people were aware of his skills.
JBL and Eddies' Mom was classic heel stuff to the point of JBL having to sneak out of town after the match ...... Still the APA bits with Ron is still my favorite gimmick of all time, just soo damned entertaining
CVV clips less than 1M subscribers is a crime
DDP
Yeah but that program with Taker and DDP was complete crapola and not either of their faults though, it was just horrible Vince booking ......
Mr. Kennedy
Kennedy had the looks, the skills, and damn sure the mic work. It was a damn shame a combation of injuries and pissing Orton off is what killed his push in the WWE and he hasn't been in there since 2009 I believe
Kennedy burned his own bridges due to failing the drug tests.
Great answer. JBL had a legendary heel run. Guy is phenomenal at drawing heat. He put Eddie Guerrero and Cena over BIG TIME. There were many shades of JBL's "Wrestling God and the cabinet" within Roman's "Tribal Chief and the bloodline".
Have my reservations about JBL based on certain stories that have come out, but to separate the art from the alleged man I will always be grateful for him as a commentator and more importantly because I fully got into wrestling around that time as a teenager and he played a huge role in my love for Taker and Cena. My first proper intro to Taker was when he returned to challenge for the title during that 9 month reign, which led to a DQ and a last ride match as I recall. But the moment that gong hit I was sold and Undertaker was and remains my favourite wrestler of all time. 😊
Man JBL was a guy that played the heel role extremely well. It was crazy how his success during the mid 2000s is also thanks to Eddie Guerrero. JBL originally didn't want to take the world title off of Eddie but Eddie insisted saying that it'll help his new heel push even more. To their credit, it did extremely well
Undertaker actually wanted him to beat him clean at SummerSlam but JBL convinced him that it was better for his character gimmick to never win fairly.
JBL had a great run, his matches with Eddie Guerrero were awesome
JBL is my favorite heel, one of the first characters I’ve followed tentatively
Loved when he and Ron Simmons were paired together. That was a serious imposing tag team
JBL was one of the funniest heels I've ever seen
Tyson Kidd
Jbl is a absolutly work horse
It’s a pretty good question if you can make the Undertaker speechless for over a minute
Shelton Benjamin
For me,Chris Benoit was the most underrated and underutilized who was so good but vince didnt see him as top guy.One of the guy Who won the world title in WCW in 2000 but left the Company the same Day and join WWE.He should be at least 3X WWE Champion until he passed away in 2007.Through his death a tragedy, but his in-ring ability is 💯.
I was raised on heel JBL, we always quote him as the "Wrestling God" in my household ❤😂☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽
Playboy Buddy Rose is one of the all time underrated Wrestlers ever
Great pick.
The fact that I hated JBL so much as a kid really showed how great a heel he was. Such a great answer. And so under rated on commentary too. Late 2000s JBL and Michael Cole was great.
Reggae King & Rock N Roll Legend Bob Marley was absolutely fantastic in the ring.
Isaac Asimov, Bruce Lee, and Dick Samson and many other great wrestlers believe that he was extremely underrated in the ring.
JBL should be a blue print heel on how to receive heat.. i couldn't STAND jbl on his republic run... let's not forget about his deadly clothesline... & his time with APA speaks for itself.
The promo in question is the one after he got fired by CNBC due to the goose stepping incident in the Germany house show.
JBL talked about this recently on Twitter and he also brings up the old man's 'I gotta switch the title' line.
Seeing the thumbnail I thought he was actually gonna say vacant
Also, I want to give a shout out to Mike Awesome. This dude KILLED IT in the early days of ECW. He was a wrestling machine that would even impress Kurt Angle. However, he rarely gets talked about these days especially being mainly in ECW and guys like RVD just overshadowing him due to Vince having such a low opinion of ECW and only pushing guys that he felt like would make him the money.
Awesome wasn't there in the early days of ECW, he arrived near the end of 1999 when the promotion was starting to go downhill drastically.
“ahhhh.. people knows he good” 😂😂
Mine would be Eddie Guerrero. Too many people see him as a good small wrestler, when he rarely had a bad match, cut a great promo every time, put over every segment he was given, and was one of the first two names you thought of when mentioning the Smackdown Six. He always gets overlooked for the wrestling Mt Rushmore, when he should be a guaranteed name.
I wouldn't really say he was underrated though, before his death he was the face of the WWE at the time. JBL only got to be a villain for a small time and never got put on to his full potential. Not to mention Eddie comes from the Guerrero family that have wrestled in both the U.S. and Mexico.
Eddie, underrated!? Absolute nonsense, how is he underrated when literally every wrestler in their 20's or early 30's name him as their inspiration? How is he underrated when literally everybody knows how great he was, when he's constantly praised by fans and wrestlers alike? Come on, he's absolutely not underrated at all.
no offense, but you're living in la la land. eddie is considered one of the all time greats. consistently in people's mt rushmore. he WAS underrated for some of his career, but that was due to him battling his demons.
Eddie is one of the best. He’s anything but underrated
There are legends there are all time Greats there are Hall of Famers but there is only one wrestling God.
I have the Mankind Cage match from 1998 on dvd
anyone remember the specifics of that JBL interview so I can see if its on here to watch
I thought he was going to say someone else but I was surprised when he said JBL
When I hear underrated my first thought is Shelton Benjamin, man could work with main eventers any night of the week and would have the support of any crowd. Always looked smooth in the ring and was due to his background in track and field and amateur wrestling he was believable.
...but he couldn't talk, couldn't get a REAL crowd reaction, and had trouble showing any personality. Good hand, but definitely not underrated, he was rated just fine.
JBL was insane given he went from a tag team to a main eventer overnight and made it seem seamless. His feud against Eddie was absolutely top tier.
JBL has to go one on one with The Undertaker every dark match.
I remember when Festus did amazing with taker on a match and he actually maybe kept mote endurance then taker for the match which never happens. of course taker was way older. that comes to mind.
I thought the story was Eddie was struggling with the pressure of being the top champion and wanted to drop it. I tend to believe that over JBL impressed Vince so much that he cut Eddie's reign short.
Maybe give him a heads up on these questions. Cause this is really good question.
I want to hear him talk about the bullying stuff
JBL is one of the greatest heels of all time. He basically saved SmackDown in 2004.
Taker should’ve at least held that undisputed design wwe title once more!
I.R.S. must be in the list
JBL getting the recognition he deserves. His clothesline from hell was one of my favourites
For the longest time I didn’t know Bradshaw and JBL were the same person!
Taker the best 🖤🤍
The undertaker was a heel at the start but the okay sort of heel, a cross between Darth Vader and a zombie. He understand it's completely different to play a character people will hate and despise.
Stevie Richards
Best clothesline of all time!
JBL easily one of the best heels from 2004-2008
JBL was the best heel in my childhood.
Mby raven or Saturn and undertaker looks super different without the mustache and just a beard
I personally loved JBL as a heel. Sadly his feud with the Undertaker is panned by most critics. I enjoyed it though
R Truth
Dean Malenko super underrated
Not at all, his skills are well-known and highly rated. PWI even named him the wrestler of the year in 97 over Bret and Austin, people are very well aware of how good he was, however his lack of personality and lack of charisma is also why there's so many wrestlers that are far more better than him.
Bradshaw really came into his own as a bully when he became JBL too.
When I was a kid I thought they were lying about JBL & Bradshaw being the same person 😂
Can people please stop filming Mark at a slightly upwards angle that isn't so flattering...? idk if anyone realizes it, whether its his pod or CVV (who I feel is a masterful everything in regards to taking care of the guys), but between one of his age with the durag-adorned head and these slightly underneath camera angles, but I think all parties going forward should realize the possibility an even level or slightly over the nasal area approach could do wonders for the guy.
MANKIND
JBL?
I was thinking he was going to say Goldust
JBL, Jericho, Chris Bennoit, Test, Ted Dibbiasi, Alex Riley, Matt Cardona, Kennedy, now Shamus, Drew --- wwe wrestlers journey is cruel , very difficult come very easy go
The WRESTLING…..GAAAWWWD
Anyone else make te Vacant joke yet? Phooey.
👍
JBL is a superb choice.
DLO!!
I'm not a fan of Bradshaw but he had good promo skills and know how to produce heat.
I just don't like how JBL pick on his fellow employees like Blue Meanie, Mauro and others.
JBL was a wrestling “GOD”
The Undertaker was asked who he thought was the most underrated wrestler, Taker had forgotten more about wrestling than most people would ever learn. Not to mention, there are some matched Mark doesn't even remember being in
It happens when you suffered dozens of concussion for a living
@@ITSHIM1294 CTE is real
JBLs single run was just very short and one dimensional - thats not an insult he played a great chicken shit champion but he never won any single world championship more then once - which is fine but just means unless he was champion he wasn't in the main event. The time from the APA disbanding to Bradshaws retirement against Rey, he didn't even have a 5 year singles career. It was top tier but honestly I'm sure JBL could've taken the character way further if he was younger.
Christian
1:01
JBL was the most hated wrestler when I was in 5th grade. That "I Quit" match with John Cena >>>
Lowkey I thought it would be Kane
Ron Simmons
Bob holly
Golllllldusssssst
JBL now looks like he is a character on The Simpsons. go have a look if you don't believe me .
Bam Bam Bigelow
How Ironic Bradshaw sold his soul to the devil to become Rich 😂😂😂
Kane underrated
LMAO absolutely not, literally everybody knows how awesome he was, how skilled he was for a big guy.
@@jonathanturbide2232 youll be surprised how many people say he wasnt good
@@skrillabagbg Then they're ignorant, my friend.
@@jonathanturbide2232 Easily Top 10 in my opinion
The British Bulldog was underrated.
Uh? By who, who's underrating him? His skills were always highly praised and highly rated by everybody, he's definitely not underrated at all.
Christian will always be the most underrated and underutilized wrestler in WWE history.
Backstage bully who got knocked out by Joey Styles 😂
Lance Storm by a Canadian kilometer.
