I just get all choked up and teary eyed when Susan and Donny sing together because she is so shy after being placed into the limelight worldwide just a few years ago while Donny has been performing since he was 6, for a total of 48 years. I feel the mom in me come out when I watch him be so protective of Susan. If anyone ever deserved anything in their life, it was Susan and I couldn't be happier if it was me. She is still shy and Donny is always like a big brother to her.
She is just so magical when she sings, she captivates us all. She is an angel on this earth. We all just love her and wish her every happiness for the future ❤

I think she's nervous with Donny because he was her idol when they were both teens. I'm so glad she has realized her dreams, not only of singing with Donny but to have the career she always wanted. She was so brave to go on Britain's Got Talent. She did a magnificent job there! What is so sweet is that success hasn't gone to her head. In that respect, she is like the Osmonds.
Can you imagine what must have been in her heart. Standing face to face with her idol and singing as an equal and his equal respect and admiration for her.
They both did very well when given a chance to record two duets in the studio. I think that Susan is pretty much a perfectionist in the studio which I appreciate.

Susan Boyle has said that they changed her duet from the 2nd half of the concert to the first half but didn't pass the message along to her in the dressing room (after a break from rehearsal) so she was getting into her dress and running in heels to the stage after she was told, so she was somewhat breathless. They had a good laugh about it after the concert.

Susan gets really nervous when she sings with Donny, and he is always the perfect gentleman with her. He would have made her feel ok about everything and would never be rude or abrupt with her. If you were there you would have heard her solo afterwards and it was flawless. I think Susan is probably more comfortable in the recording studio than on stage. Personally, I enjoyed her performance.
The place they are singing is far from ideal. But they press on anyway, and their talent is so massive, they could sing in a barrel, underwater, and make it sound great.
