Thanks for the video! It was helpful. I found it easier to do all the other steps and then add the barrel cam and spring at the end. Lot more space to work with for the snap ring

Where did you purchase the replacement clamp assembly? The only replacement I have found is for the 6***-** models

I wish they just had the old fashioned Allen wrench blade holders. These new keyless chucks suck. They start very soon to start getting messed up. The plastic parts are a bad design. I took mine apart and cleaned everything , used graphite and it still needs something. I’m going to try and get the repair kit and try it again. But honestly I hate the keyless chucks since they came out. Ashamed they can’t come up with a better way.

I understand your frustration. I consider the clamp assembly, and barrel cam wearable items. I always replace both at the same time to avoid headaches down the road.

If there was, I’d love to know about it. What we show in the video is the easiest way I’ve found.

It would be wise to clean and regrease the gearcase. We decided not to include that step in this video for the sake of brevity.

Any local Milwaukee commercial dealer should be able to help. www.ereplacementparts.com/ has them. You could also get them straight from Milwaukee.

BUT with cordless when the batteries go the cost is nearly the cost to replace the whole saw with battery...

Never again purchase Milwaukee tools. These blade holders don't last more than a year. Tool is garbage because of this design..I now use dewalt.Dewalt. Good luck trying to replace this yourself. What they charge to replace you might as well buying a new one. Any brand but Milwaukee.
