Yep - that's how I used to do it. I was afraid to wake up dad because he doesn't wake up well. His PTSD makes him jumpy and he's liable to accidentally lash out at anything that comes at him by surprise...
Therefore poor mum got the whole "mum... Mum... mUm!" deal
or coughing and "accidentally" bumping into the wall
My 6 year old and 3 year old does this all the time 😂😂

When I was younger I used to do that bc I was scared of waking up Mum. And bc I have ✨terrible✨ anxiety I apologise WAY TO MUCH, so at the time I would apologise and my Mum would say “It’s fine” but it didn’t look it as she would rapidly put new sheets on....

Some of this relates alot to a Primary School teachers experience too! 🤣 especially keeping tabs on whoes where and explaining why something is not appropriate in a way they can understand. Oh and the classic pretending you can't hear them calling Miss (name) over and over.
