Nieve has serious ball knowledge. Gallagher will do all the work x10 better than any of the others. Allows Bellingham to play high rice to control and also attack. Rice has been on set pieces his game has evolved to a more creative player. Gallagher allows both to do this

Gallagher yes may not be the most technical player but he gets the job done. If u got rice's ball control and passing and judes goal threat u want an engine and a player who can make tackles when needed. Gallagher fits that role

Nieve is actually bang on here. Too many fans want us to start Bellingham and Foden or Maddison in a midfield 3. Bellingham has been the best 10 in the world this season, so it makes more sense to play Rice and a balanced 8 behind him like Jones or Gallagher. I think it's a tournament too soon for Mainoo

It 100% wouldn't work having a Rice Jude + Madders/Foden combo. Rice can't do it on his own, I'd like to see how Mainoo gets on tonight but he could be a perfect balance and B2B player.
Anyone who thinks it’s too soon for Mainoo hasn’t wanted United enough this season. I side more with Dave on this. Should be Mainoo, Rice and Jude in the mid with foden on the left, Saka right and Kane up top. Might as well say I’d have Walker, Stones, Gomez and Shaw at the back.

Connor Gallagher is a great shout tbh. She made so much sense with her take. In the latter stages of the tournament, England is going to face the best teams and it makes sense to be a little conservative. Foden can come on when you’re down by a goal or if you want to go all out attack in the second half

I think it’s mad how much Gallagher is being overlooked, he is an absolute workhorse, highest average KM per game and most interceptions in the attacking half this season. Like the girl said, allows Bellingham to play where he belongs rather than back with Rice. I think Gallagher is gonna be one of the first names on that plane from Southgate.
