To live in a world without her. But one undeniable fact for you is that you were there for your dad in that moment. You were there for him and stayed by his side. My dad is still living but I still cried, I get sad every time I hear this song because been 5 years since I last saw my father, our relationship just was never tight since he was more of an authoritarian type of parenting when I was younger. Moved out when I was 19, because we just never got along, basically I grew up and learned things on my own along the way. I’m 33 now and sometimes, it’s just a little too late to start a bond with my father. Let this be a lesson, go be in your children’s life and don’t be overly strict to them. Just try have fun and enjoy the company each and every moment

    It's what we do culturally. This is normal for us.
    We love gathering at birthdays, picnics, parties, potlucks and just kanikapila (break out the instruments and sing the night away). We keep our history and memories of our loved ones alive this way

    Iam is synonymous to love and what the world needs more of right now. He’s a Godsend to transcend love, peace, kindness, understanding and humility. At 18 he’s the perfect role model for humans of all ages and backgrounds of what we as humans should be like. If social media has the true power of reaching people to help change the world for the better, keep sharing his videos and stories to allow us to reflect on whats more important in life. Especially to the young people struggling to fit in and resorting to stealing so they can have the designer clothes and other material items, please realize that having good character, values and love and kindness in your heart outweighs all the Gucci or Louie V products that you’re struggling to get because it’s too expensive plus you get it only to please others and try to make yourself look cool that’s all superficial. Look at it this way, living like the Kardashians cost millions, but living like Iam is priceless - because love is free. Peace And Love to everyone!

    "i'm not your son, you're not my father, we're just two grown men saying goodbye" a boy becomes a man the day he discovers that his father is also just a man.
    every grown man understands the depth of this song and remembers their father and it hits twice as hard for those who are now themselves fathers.
    this song reminds me of my purpose as a father and to also strive to do my best so that my daughters will have a better relationship with me than i had with my own father. i am glad for all of you who continue to see your fathers as your hero and my heart goes out to all of you who grew up too early--i wish you may one day enjoy the gift of being one yourself.
    happy fathers' day in advance to all my brothers out there who read my comment.

    Iam is demonstrating a real atribute of the polynesian culture that connects a listener to the emotions of a song. It is unique transfer of feelings from one heart to another. It can be joy, anger, excitement and Iams case, pain. Seek out artist like Fiji, Josh Tatofi, Maoli and see for yourself. Hawaiian music is played with heartstrings.

He also got permission from Kolohe Kai to cover cool down and as someone who's Hawaii flown not grown, I knew he was gonna win from the moment I saw him. The local people here are so good at covering a song to the point I don't realize why I know all the lyrics. I lost my dad when I was 11 as well, but he past away when I was 30.....he was a GREAT dad, "when he was a great dad" , now i have my son(hes 3) i just worked another 80 hour week, and I just want more time....but his mom stays home with them, and he loves his mom, so hopefully the hard work pays off, and I can spend that kind of of time with him . Your dad loved you. I also have two little girls, and they make my wife jealous everyday lol. People always talk about the relationship between a dad and his son, but forget to mention the ones, with a girl and their dad. I'm sure you loved your dad very much, and that he loved you more, and that's what counts. Promise . I wish you and yours peace .

The lines “I’m not your son your not my father, we are just two grown men saying goodbye” is what his father would say to him before being deployed. Polynesians originally never had a written language. Alot of their geneology and past was told through song, chants, and story telling.

    • @alamai7799
      @alamai7799 Před rokem

      Yes we did have a written language, the problem is our people went through a degenerate process. Europeans would have us believe that we were incapable of writing however our ancient ancestors have a record with our writings in it. Today it is known as the Book of Mormon, in this record talks about our origin, who we are and which tribe of Israel we come from. Also mentioned in the book is the kingdom system our ancestors had, as well as the Judges, Priest, even a voting system, of which is all embedded in our cultures. We were originally followers of the Lord Jesus Christ however many of our brethren fell away and adopted a cannabilistic sacrificial religion that worshipped the cannibal gods and these new practitioners all sort out the believers of Christ amongst us and began to kill them, scattering them, this process took place before and after the birth of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ as there was always contention amongst us as disenters sort to take over our original religion (Christianity). In case people want to know, we are the descendants of Josephs two sons Ephraim and Manasseh, with Egyptian and Hebrew bloodline running through our dna going back to the middle east Jerusalem and Egypt. None can get an accurate dna test done because much of the Egyptian and Jews living in those countries today are not the true Egyptians and Jews/Israelites from the Ancient past, they were placed there by foreign rulers. The reason we left Jerusalem under the guidance of the Lord to inherit another land (ancient America) 650-600BC is because the people became wicked, our ancestors were a righteous remnant led away before the people were placed in bondage by foreign nation and subjected to the rule of foreign kings, said kings worshipped other gods. The 10 tribes were sentenced into exile in the northern countries, they to have a record or stick with written language upon it just as the bible is the stick or written record of Judah, when all the tribes are reunited again, all scripture with writings and records of God's dealings with us will be united into one. The bible came into the posession of the gentiles from the hands of the 12 apostles because the Jews would not receive it mostly due to the Jewish leaders who did not want to surrender their power to the true doctrine of Christ, they knew He was the prophesied King and Lord of which the ancient prophets spoke of that will come. Thus the gospel was shared with the gentiles who did accept the gospel, said gentiles fell into a state of apostasy once the apostle's of Christ were martyred, thus there was a need of restoration to bring the nations out of a state of apostasy, this great work was given to a young teenage boy named Joseph Smith, whom was taught by the angel (one of our own ancestors) before our records were taken out of where it was hidden and translated by Joseph Smith. All of my people need to read the Book of Mormon because that is our literal bloodlines record before they fell. It covers 600BC to around 400AD where the last righteous prophet amongst our ancestors lived, this prophet was also the one who hid up our records knowing that the day will come when the Lord will fulfill the promise given to one of our founding fathers Nephi, who was first head/leader of the new government established upon the american continent, he was privileged to see in a vision our days and that the gentiles will bring our records to the remnant of his brothers seed of which a remnant of his own seed was mixed with. There is a mixture of our bloodlines between Nephi seed (lighter skinned indians or mound builders as they're called) and his brothers seed (red skinned or darker skinned tribes) these two mix and is why a lot of Polyneasian are of different colours, some a lighter skinned, some darker, some red skinned, yes there is the added element of Europeans who mix seeds with some of our people in the 1800-1900's however light skinned Polyneasian or to be more exact Israelite, were in the pacific long before the coming of the European powers. Our people always fought amongst ourselves, that is something that has gone on for so.many generations going back to the founding fathers Nephi and his younger brothers who stood against his older brothers Laman and Lemuel, many wars were fought on the Amercian continent by our ancestors, these continued wherever they went together, even into the pacific. In our record it says the great and abominable church of which satan is the head, took the bible and removed much of the precious truths contained within the bible and they did this so that it may cause confusion and to corrupt the work of the Lord, just as the jewish leaders had done when they told their people after the Lord resurrected that it was His disciples who removed His body in order to make it seem like He resurrected, however despite their lies there were many witnesses of those who resurrected with the Lord Jesus Christ & it is also written in our record (Book of Mormon) that the Lord visited our people and showed Himself "after" He had ressurected to Heaven, this is in line with scripture as none were to touch His body until after He had gone unto the Father in Heaven, this is confirmed in our records when the Lord appeared into our ancestors, descended out of Heaven with God The Eternal Father speaking from Heaven, introducing His Only Begotten Son to our ancestors, when the Lord descended our people thought it was an angel at first until the Lord said to them to come unto Him and feel the marks in His hands which paid for our sins, the multitude after feeling the marks fell to the earth and wept because this is the Christ our redeemer that our prophets spoke of that will come and reveal Himself after His ressurection. It is recorded in our record that the Lord Himself confirmed our ancestry when He said, ye are a remnant of the house of Joseph, He also said that our brethren who were in Jerusalem at the time did not know of us & that when He said, "And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.", they understood Him not and because of the stiff neckedness of our brethren it was not commanded of Him by the Father to speak more on the matter. The Lord also told our ancestors that after visiting them, He will go show Himself unto the 10 tribes who were taken to a far away land that was not around any of the lands they were in, that He shall command them to write down in their records His dealings with them as our prophets were commanded to do likewise, hence why the Book of Mormon is referred to as another testimony of Christ. The Lord said that He does these so that all may know that He is the same yesterday, today and forever, that from these books will the whole earth be judged. Our ancestors themselves recorded in our record that they were commanded by the Lord to keep a record the people and His dealings with them, and that they knew not the purpose but that they knew the Lord had done so for His own purposes. Thus our records were passed down from one to another even until the last prophet who buried the records in the hill, said hill being the same one Joseph Smith was led to restore this record. This also was done because of the cunning craftiness of the devil who took away much of the gospel truths from the bible. Thus in line with the Lord's words, His wisdom is greater than the cunning craftiness of the devil. Soon the banner will be raised to awaken all our lost brothers and sisters to their true identity.
