Some footage from this film was used in 1958's A Night to Remember.
It was more of a documentary rather than a love story. Albeit lots of factual inconsistencies, but good acting and fair special effects considering the technology of the time.
They spent the whole sinking time waiting for the bow to dip under and then it sank in 5 seconds
