you can use the | symbol just under the backspace on your keyboard and it seperates the commands so you can do one line of commands instead of having to input single commands so something like this. r.VolumetricCloud 0 | r.VolumetricFog 0 | r.Lumen.Reflections.Allow 0 | r.Lumen.DiffuseIndirect.Allow 0 | r.Water.SingleLayer.Reflection 0 | grass.Enable 0 | vysyncmode=0
For me the biggest difference on my PC (RTX 4060) to stop crashing, was keeping RTX on but only turn Frame Generation off.
The clouds one boosted my FPS by 40%. Ive been using it for weeks now. So if anyone is struggling with FPS i recommend it. I have RTX on but have not had a single issue with crashing. Either way good tips from Nick
@Nerd Parade Who do you get the blue icons to track your dinos? I hit track dino all I get are map markers.
You have to click the small Google map location looking button on their individual IDs in dino tracking. Beside the ion of the favourites 🌟

I would add that some users might want to leave vsyncmode=1, personally I get terrible screen tearing in games if I turn it off
So basicly remove everything and make it look like original ark😂😂

Can we not save the freakin console command settings, have to do this every new play session?
turning off grass was a main one also for me and really made it playable for a graphics card not suited for the game

this game is know where near redy to be out my system is pretty good and I get crashes no matter what it is a shame that the programmers tha tare writing the code just seem to be lazy at fixing these crashes some days i dont get any or maybe one or two but the majority of times like the last two days I get crashes every few minutes . They should not release a game that has settings above what the game can actually do.
I can play the majority of games and play many different pc games at 4 k and fps never lower than 50 if i turn all of these things off I might as well just plat ark se and live with the occasional glitch and crash .
it is a shame that everyone has to change all of these settings just so the game runs sometimes ok because when the game is not crashing it beautiful. I am a little curious as to how well this game would run on a Linux system, I may install linux on dual boot just to check and see if it runs more smooth .
when I first started playing asa I lost sooo many dinos for my boss fighte plus lost boss fights jus twhen I was about to kill the boss and lost everything else and iwas saving just befoer the boss fights it took me 2 weeks real time 4-8hr days to finally beat the game becasue of al lthe crashes and even then the game says I never beat the alpha dragon which I did so I coudl get into the alpha tek cave and beat tha tboss which was a real pain becsaue I was crashing every few minutes trying to get my dinos dow ther and even then it crashed so I ended up saying f this and just got down the with a parachute and a some tek gear so I could cheese the boss buy flying over it with a a few shotguns and about 1000 shotgun shells n I am frustrated with this game I played all the time but got sick of the crashes waited for a few months of updates which didnt fix anything I have tried in on both my gamin g systems and still same issues .

Rolled back driver, 537.58 I believe, 4080 laptop GPU, alienware, 70 to 100 fps all epic, frame Gen on, no crashes...
I have never accidentally hit e while flying. I don’t know anything about that.

Even deleted it and reinstalled it too
Oh and after I did that microsoft won't give me access to my account back. Every time I submit a ticket it says the information is wrong which is b******* so now I lost all my Xbox One x games have no access to them.
The game consumes a lot of vram. Bigest cause of crashing is exceeding your vram. Will cause device hung crash.
And I miss two man one base

The one video setting that stopped all my crashing was "Enable Foliage & Fluid Interaction" = OFF
Doesn't that end up causing the whole floating rocks thing?

I tested again now, haven't crashed for weeks, turned this setting on again, crashed after 2 hours. I'd rather have floating rocks than crashes 😅

A new update took away our ability to do the volumetric console commands, probably a server setting to enable/disable
I believe it was the official servers it was disabled on, still works on unofficial if enabled

If you are picky like me and want to disable clouds without losing the lighting component (some scenes will be very dark and blotchy without it) my current best solution is this mess:

as far as i know there is no way to automatically run console commands on startup like old ini.
also you will definitely still get crashes even without DLSS :D

What do these commands do? I have seen a lot of different commands but I have not seen these before, I'm on XSX and the game does not look great, when I'm flying/running around getting closer to trees they start moving on their own in weird ways... Really hoping to find a fix for it
@@HiMyNameIzJake these commands just disable the clouds in a nicer way
idk what would be making trees do that and i have no experience with consoles, sorry
