I like the ending for the breton rogue. It was something I was waiting to see. And then amount of respect and understanding the high elf had for him at his ending was simply superb.
I will try to summarize this as best I can, with my limited naive knowledge of the Skyrim world: Nord realizes that Brenton is under a "walking dead" spell from Molag Bal, even though the two of them were once allies. As he fights Brenton, it almost seems as if the undead Ranger WANTS to die (his still-human senses begging to be returned to their original state).... but he's also now a servant of the undead, forced to fight for evil. Still, this isn't totally clear to Nord, who continues fighting until Brenton is too weak to go on. Ignorant of what the Ranger desperately wants, he shoves Brenton's hand aside when he reaches up to the warrior and goes to face his final opponent. Spellsword finds Brenton's dying condition. In his distorted mind, her image reminds him of a "blue lady", a possible significant other left behind in the war. Spellsword sees the "darkness" trying to consume him once more as he places his sword in her hand. She remembers that she too was once "chained" and realizes what the Ranger is asking of her: a mercy killing. As his human nature finally returns with death, he clutches the blue ribbon from his beloved and slips away in peace. Spellsword find Nord's helmet and, whether she consciously knows what's happened to him or not, presumes he has lost his fight.... ceremoniously discarding the remaining item of her former ally. We see Nord in the realms of Coldharbor..... alive? Imprisoned? That's a mystery. Not all cinematics have to completely coincide with the actual game they are representing. It's advertising. Movie trailers do the same thing; how often do we compare trailers with the actual film and find HUGE differences? This cinematic and the actual ESO game is a similar case. But if we can enjoy this beautifully detailed cinematic for what it is alone, I think we're doing the creators justice :)
As for the nord leaving the ranger alive he was ticked he got his arm he looked at it and took a chunk out of the column and looked at it again before he left him there. In medieval times it was considered merciful to give your enemy a killing blow, leaving them in agony with their wounds was common as messed up as it is

I've watched all of the trailers again, and might I say that the evolution of the CGI over the past year or two can be seen so magnificently. I keep on seeing this and wanting desperately to get into computer animation.

even though the developers are ZeniMax Studios, Bethesda must have partnered up with Blur to advertise the game. which im sure they will do again for future games.
A game engine handling a high poly cinematic quality mesh with textures with that much detail and models that literally have a physical aspect from every vertex point makes the mesh look like it's about 500,000 vertices per model. There is no such game engine i've heard about that could handle a model over 10,000 vertices. Any larger and the framerate would take a huge shit. Then there's the dynamic shaders, which I cant go in too much detail about but if your shaders look dumbed down then so will everything that shaders are casted upon.
Jeez. Nord warrior was a complete a-hole. For all the Nords harp on and on about honor, Sovngard, and a warrior's death, he completely spits on and shows a huge disrespect to the Breton assassin. And now I have a new respect for the Elven mage. Granting him that mercy kill after tying the colors back on his dagger... Favorite moment right there.

i am a fan of the series, but i have already lost massive respect for this company. I choose to invest my money in companies who don't treat their loyal customers like stupid cash cows. the game itself was far from finished on release, and peple were basically paying a monthly subscription for a beta game. that is complete disrespect to the customer.

Think GW2 cash shop only with a bunch of stuff for mounts as well since ESO has mounts with levels and stats. Also they are adding proper collectible/pet menus so again think GW2 only with an option to skip the bullshit and get everything if you subcribe instead.
InoshiKenshi I've been playing it since it went F2P and it is fun. There are no "P2W" items in their cash shop, and it is a very fun game. Unlike SWTOR, i don't feel like I have to subscribe to have fun.
It was VERY CGI... Kinda sucks, too... the in game daedric armor looks nothing like the trailer... better yet the whole game was just a wasted opportunity...

The game was doing so well with the subscription model and now it's going to be without that and as a consequence of the lacking income from subscriptions they will undoubtedly introduce a cash store into the game... It will bring more players back to the game sure, but at what cost? Will we start seeing pay-to-win mechanics? Special booster packs? Features locked by a pay gate? I really think this is a bad idea, but eh, we'll see where it goes. Hopefully it will not become as bad as SWTOR, where every single feature you would consider standard for an MMO is barred by a pay gate. This will probably also ruin the community ESO has if we get all these "anti subscription" casual players who want to achieve everything without putting effort into it. I like the fact that ESO is currently a hard game, if you want to beat something you actually have to work for it. It actually reminded me of WoW in its early days ..

You should read the FAQ in the description. They are changing to a different optional subscription feature which only gameplay advantage is 10% XP gain, which shouldn't really be a game changer unless progression was dialed down since I left the game in August. I was actually thinking of picking up the game again to check out the new updates, so B2P is good news to me. I hope the convenience bit about the cash shop means additional character slots..., I'd buy that in a heartbeat if the new features make me stick with it for a while again.

Not fake numbers. There are over a million people still playing ESO. You're in denial because you can't accept that there are people that enjoy something you don't. You see, one thing I've noticed from EVERYONE that complains about ESO is that it 'doesn't feel like an ES game' Lets see, based on the past three Elder Scrolls games... Can play as any of the ten races? Get Imperial Edition, which isn't much more and comes with a lot of other things worth the money, and yes. A being that is/was worshiped as a god and their cultists attempting to take over the world? Check. Starting off as a prisoner? Check. Escaping confinement due to some level of convenience? Check. Incredibly overpriced for actual replay value and the fun had while playing? Check. Communing with a very wise, somewhat holy being to learn ways to defeat the final enemy? Check. Only one Province? Nope Similar combat system? Nope Singleplayer? Nope. I spy three differences, only one of which I can imagine would ACTUALLY make people angry. Seriously, brought down to the core elements, it is exactly like the most current Elder Scrolls games.

Dam this trailer is awesome! I didn't know there were 3 more trailers before this. At first I thought it was some sort of barbarian class fighting a assassin class in a duel to the death, and the winner gets to finally fight the last boss. And then that last scene shows up were that mage lady appears up all bruised and I thought, did I miss an epic story behind this? Definitely going to watch the other 3!
Great trailer as always. Maybe you should have made a movie. I did try this game but I always had this feeling I was expected to do something, usually something I wasn't very interested in doing.
Can't wait for the console release. I prefer playing MMO's and TES in general on PC, but my friend who I recently helped get into the genre is getting this for PS4, so I'll have to wait it out a bit.

Reading some comments and I feel I should clear things up. The game is going to be Buy to Play not Free to Play. You buy the game you get all the content the base game offers which is 1-50 , AvA , Crafting , Harvesting , Dungeons , Craglorn , Champion System and patches for free. If you subscribe you get the bonus of 10% faster gains and the DLC they release without purchasing them so in reality it is a better deal than it is now. If you decide you just want to stay as a base customer you can buy the DLC of your choosing separate. And for now they also say they will still do major content patches for free also along with the paid DLC. Now we do not know how big the DLCs will be or their prices. They could be mini expansions with new areas and quests or just small quest bundles..etc. These DLC release will also be scaled so you will not have to worry about being left out on each release if you arent level 50 or if you are level 50 and they release a level 20 DLC. This is a good idea I think. The Crown Shop so far looks tame with cosmetics , content , potions ( not as good as player made ) and the like. My hope is that they will also do yearly expansions so they can continue to expand the world of Tamriel into areas we have yet to visit. My advice is.. If you are subscribed then stay subscribed. It is a good deal. If you dont think so you still have a huge game to play for free as you already bought the game. Those that are on the fence and want to play on PC I would say look around for a good price and buy the game even if you do not sub until March 17th because the price will only increase.

I guess I just fear ESO will turn into one of the many faceless and indistinguishable MMOs that are out there. It's a special game that I have already devoted many months to and I would love to keep doing so, since I like the core premise of what Zenimax are doing. They were very explicit about saying that ESO will never go Pay-to-win or Free-to-play in their stream, so I remain hopeful.

You see, one thing I've noticed from EVERYONE that complains about ESO is that it 'doesn't feel like an ES game'
Lets see, based on the past three Elder Scrolls games...
Can play as any of the ten races? Get Imperial Edition, which isn't much more and comes with a lot of other things worth the money, and yes.
A being that is/was worshiped as a god and their cultists attempting to take over the world? Check.
Starting off as a prisoner? Check.
Escaping confinement due to some level of convenience? Check.
Incredibly overpriced for actual replay value and the fun had while playing? Check.
Communing with a very wise, somewhat holy being to learn ways to defeat the final enemy? Check.
Only one Province? Nope
Similar combat system? Nope
Singleplayer? Nope.
I spy three differences, only one of which I can imagine would ACTUALLY make people angry. Seriously, brought down to the core elements, it is exactly like the most current Elder Scrolls games.

Dam this trailer is awesome! I didn't know there were 3 more trailers before this. At first I thought it was some sort of barbarian class fighting a assassin class in a duel to the death, and the winner gets to finally fight the last boss. And then that last scene shows up were that mage lady appears up all bruised and I thought, did I miss an epic story behind this? Definitely going to watch the other 3!

Can't wait for the console release. I prefer playing MMO's and TES in general on PC, but my friend who I recently helped get into the genre is getting this for PS4, so I'll have to wait it out a bit.

Reading some comments and I feel I should clear things up. The game is going to be Buy to Play not Free to Play. You buy the game you get all the content the base game offers which is 1-50 , AvA , Crafting , Harvesting , Dungeons , Craglorn , Champion System and patches for free. If you subscribe you get the bonus of 10% faster gains and the DLC they release without purchasing them so in reality it is a better deal than it is now. If you decide you just want to stay as a base customer you can buy the DLC of your choosing separate. And for now they also say they will still do major content patches for free also along with the paid DLC.
Now we do not know how big the DLCs will be or their prices. They could be mini expansions with new areas and quests or just small quest bundles..etc. These DLC release will also be scaled so you will not have to worry about being left out on each release if you arent level 50 or if you are level 50 and they release a level 20 DLC. This is a good idea I think.
The Crown Shop so far looks tame with cosmetics , content , potions ( not as good as player made ) and the like.
My hope is that they will also do yearly expansions so they can continue to expand the world of Tamriel into areas we have yet to visit.
My advice is.. If you are subscribed then stay subscribed. It is a good deal. If you dont think so you still have a huge game to play for free as you already bought the game. Those that are on the fence and want to play on PC I would say look around for a good price and buy the game even if you do not sub until March 17th because the price will only increase.
