Many years ago I was in the east Kootenays of British Columbia just outside of a small town called canal Flats on Columbia Lake. There were Big Horns not far away doing their mating battle thing. You could see them going at each other and the sound of the collisions was astounding. You had to wonder how they weren't giving each other concussions!
And what makes you think they weren't giving themselves concussions? Ow. Ow. Ow!
That's at least a force of 1000Kg/sq inch from each one....so the real impact on their skulls must be about 2000Kg/sq inch!!! Damn!!!
I wonder what we could learn from them, their chemical make up, brain make up and skull framework that would help us in our human medical needs... Particularly in areas of concussions and neurology... I bet we could learn a LOT from their physical functions. a LOT.
