  • Welcome to the first episode of Parkrun Dairies, a friendly showcase of some of UK’s interesting 5K courses. Today’s episode will be in the historic town of Bideford, North Devon.
Over the series we’ll meet some great people, the amazing marshals who make it happen and of course, some tips and inspiration to help you get clean, get fit and get living!
Many thanks to the event organisers, volunteers and marshals who make these events happen, without them Parkrun couldn’t operate.
In this video we’ll have a talk with Ray, a first-timer on this course who’s ran over 70 Parkruns and volunteered for over 170. It’s people like Ray who make Parkrun a great community.

I did woolacombe a couple of months ago, I usually flip between Bideford and Tamar lakes.

@anitarayer7948 It’s a great course but yeah much more difficult than the standard pathed Parkruns. Everyone was so friendly there, whether it was other runners or the volunteers, doing the Woolacombe Dunes run gave me the idea to start this series. Next one will probably be Barnstaple or Exeter
