This is my gear load out for a backpacking fishing trip to a mountain lake. The hike is just under four miles to the lake where we hope to do some fishing. Obviously not concerned about weight on this one as the hike is not too long and not much elevation gain.

I was watching river certified and I liked how he camped out at the river and thought I'd give it a try since I like to walk like 5 miles down the bank to fish. It's kind of a pain to walk back after fishing for 5 hours.

Great review. Recommend you use Talenti ice cream jar vs the glass jar for worms. The ice cream jars are plastic - lot of folks use for cold cooking.
Thanks! This is a few years old. Not sure I even on much of that gear anymore haha I actually have been using the same old peanut butter jar for worms for about 6 years! Not sure why I didn't have it in this video

Im ashamed with the path you've taken towards joning the ultra light community. You're taking a pad instead of the all mighty chair. I understand not wanting to spend 100 but the naturehike YL05 works great and doesnt weigh much either. Also no table, you need a table.
Haha! This is quite an old setup of mine. I definitely am not ultralight and now own TWO Helinox chair zero. Still don't have a table yet though! 😆
@@CascadeBackcountry uuu I got a recommendation for you then if you are looking for a simple table. Not to be a naturehike shill here but I bought their Ft07 camping table after the wife asked for something we could eat our meals on. Love it, at a little over 1lb it's been a great addition to my set up.
