These men buried the hatchet as they say back then, but our morons of today are busily ripping the bandages from those old wounds at a feverish pace with each monument they tear down or remove!
To say they buried the hatchet willingly is quite absurd and ahistorical. They had to be forced at gun points to allow former slaves to vote. Their political radicals killed the president. And they formed gangs to intimidate black people from voting. The idea that confederates all went home and lived in peace is another Myth pulled by lost cause believers. They went home and resisted progress more with the same kind of violence. It’s not a coincidence that once DC rolled back reconstruction both share cropping and Jim Crow began in the south
They are Communists, those morons.
That's what communist do . Divide and conquer. And sadly we are falling for it.
Good to hear the truth straight from the horse’s mouth, better men then us with no argument
Oh, one could argue. There just isn't much point. I'm positive it would fall on dead ears. Ignorance is bliss indeed.
@@pamelaoliver8442 You wouldn't smart off like that in person, pam.
Boy, it does me a lot of good to see and hear those proud old men tell their stories and hold their heads high. God bless them all.
Southern heroes
To see all of these brave Confederate men...heart warming. THANK YOU ❤❤
Unbelievable to hear their words. First hand accounts of live action. Unreal. Unreal. Bless them. I love this. Thank you. Great way to start my day. Bless all the confederates! White and Black! They were all invaded together. I’m saving this for later. Keep it coming:)
Thanks for the upload, and
God Bless DIXIE...

My great grandfather was born in Missouri in 1862, he lived to 103 and died in 1965. I remember him well, and thinking back now as an older man , whew! I wished I could have asked him more questions.
We will never forget them. God Bless The South!
Experience with my own family has led me to understand brother against brother. You would consider my dad and I conservative and my two brothers liberal. If a divide in the nation were to happen today we would be on opposite sides from one another. In times past I spent a lot of time learning about the war and WWII. I am about to reach sixty and I am warred out so to speak. I love what you are doing and want you to keep it going. It is amazing to me that many of these men were born just decades after the final formation of the Federal Government.
Rebel yell still scares me. Love reenacting!
They aren't reenacting dude they lived it

The Lee family originated in Coton, Shropshire in England (between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster. My Father was good friends with Vin Lee who still lived there when I was young.
Great great stuff!
Have to agree with the 90 year old veteran who said he hadn't drank water in 50 years -- if it will rust pipes, it will rust your insides. LOL
"Best thing to drink is beer...etc." When the ladies tried to explain to him the country was "dry" (prohibition), he wasn't having any of it: "You say it is but is it?" I guess we know now who won that argument, now don't we? LOL
😂
😂😂😂
I once knew a guy who wouldn't drink water because fish poop in it. The vodka got the best of him.
Prohibition was more about banning ethanol more than alcohol
@@Doo_Doo_PatrolThat was a quote attributed to W.C. Fields only he said they did something else in it ( not poop).

Too much real history is being destroyed or rewritten. Things like this are priceless.
Reading today that there is legislation to remove confederate statues from battlefields now 🤦🏻♂️
Enjoyed it .
Thanks Daytona!
Incredible footage 😲 These men fought in the American Civil War 1863….amazing to see and hear their words too 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😊👍👍
Thank You! GOD Bless All who served, serve, and there families & loved ones! Be Safe out there folks - Peace & Health to Us All.
Gen Lee, thank you so much for standing for South. You fought hard and we are behind you! Never give up!
All I can say is WOW!!!!!! Thank you for sharing. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I enjoyed this video a lot thank you for sharing
Enjoyed this much.
Great stuff as usual.
Preciate it, background music wasnt doing them justice
It was an editing error on my part. Been a super hectic week(trying to build a new house and keep my head above water with work.) Hope it doesn’t wreck the views with the analytics machine!
Fantastic!
Wow, so very interesting, thanks!😃🇺🇸
Thanks!
Thanks so much Robert!
Amazing
Chris is this a duplicate from the video a few hours from this one? I didn't mind your background music.Take care my friend!
It is, I made a mistake on the first one and so re-uploaded it, hope it doesn’t tank my views 🤦🏻♂️
Fascinating!
Chills.
We as a people are going to have to drastically change if this country is to survive.
How is it possible to have such good video in early 1900's???????? They were supposedly still using glass panels to make pictures?
If i was opposit on the battlefield and heard a thousand men howl while rushing towards me, i would be needing three ply toilet paper.
They trained us to use this "yell" tactic in the 1960s in the Army at Fort Polk (Louisiana)!
Done just right, they thought that it might have a short-time effect on enemy troops...catching them off-guard!
The Chinese used this tactic in the Korean War against the U.S. & Allies!
Our glorious boys in grey
"We fought the Dutch!" Lol.
🕶👍
It's interesting that the General Lyon he is describing as the bravest man he ever saw was actually the commander of Union Forces at Wilson's Creek.
Indeed. Bravery knows no allegiance
How well spoken they were.
I agree! Hollywood stereotyped their Civil War Films in a prejudicial way to make certain points of their own, personal beliefs!!!
Hail the south,what for soldier's❤
👍🏻👍🏻❤️
very nice as always...was the war ever refered to at that time as a " Civil War" ??
The first reference I can find during the war between the states was made by congress in 1862. The term was prevalent though as it was found in many diaries and writings including Lee’s
No, & it wasn’t about slavery either.
most of 1st hand information I've looked at ..it's reffered to as "" norther aggression, souther succession, ect.ect.
I haven't seen much as it was reffered as Civil at that time.
thank you!
"Civil War" is factually incorrect and is a product of Yankee history revisionists. The war was a war between two countries, the United States of America and the Confederate States of America. The term "War Between the States" is correct as is "The Second Revolution". The Confederacy did not seek to overthrow the US govt in any way, they simply wanted to leave the union and form their own country. A true civil war would suppose a conflict in which two factions fought each other for control of one country.
@@jcdawg8363 thank you ...very nicely explained....I see 1st hand information frequently.... I just haven't seen that term mentioned in my reads.
You forgot this one: “Don’t fight uphill me boys”
😂
Amen
❤
Do wish the date this was made was stated. But I’m very happy to have viewed it. Does someone have an idea of the year based on cars used or something?
1938
Thinking the Irish sounding gentleman was telling some tall tales. To think he was fighting in 1848 in Mexico and made it to recorded video on film is a huge stretch. Even if he joined at 16, he would have been over 100 when this was filmed. Not a chance.
For EVER Young.
They say it is….

Old men are never gonna tell a lie
😂😂😂
Why would they. In fact the old tend to tell it as it was.
@@equine2020 yes they did!
Couldn't imagine prohibition of alcohol. Bet that gentleman imbibed a bit lol.
😂 reenactment by actors my grandma did say the rust pipes thing
These aren’t actors, they were veterans.
I wonder if Lee had an HR department?
The southern drawl didn't exist at that time.
But is it ?
😂 he clearly had doubts
Great old men can cling to wrong causes and Glory in wrong than weep in repentance, no rebel yells in the kingdom of Heaven
And here we are, modern men clinging to wrong causes, thinking they are waging a war and winning against veterans who have long since left the plain of battle. It’s not up to your judgement what heaven looks like to any man, perhaps there is no heaven at all to yell in, but I digress. What sins of your country will history judge you for? That you separated families from their children, provided arms to militant countries who inflicted genocide with said arms, who bombed innocents to feed your desire for consumption? History is a tricky mistress, time will allow for your judgement. At any rate, for productivity’s sake, the war these men fought is over, there are more pressing issues at hand.
It's sad you sucked up all the yankee indoctrination. All wars are bankers wars. History is written by the Victor's By the way God does the judgment. So typical yankee bs.

This is history it has to be presrved for posterity! Yee haw with rebel yell she cried more more more!
"They say it is, but is it?" Spoken like a moonshiner...
Who knew they had video back then 😂
Really. This was recorded when they were old men in the present. Not back then.
My dad remembered this stuff from his youth and would tell me about it from time to time.@@equine2020

Traitors
Subjective.
Traitors? They just wanted a divorce. Irreconcilable differences. They joined the union voluntary and had every right to leave it. Just because the north won does not mean they were right.
They fought for states rights. The north was trying to tax their cotton and tobacco. It had nothing to do with slavery. Especially since the North had their own slaves
You’re so stupid Ryan.
You got your butts handed to you
Who is you? Historical films? Inanimate objects or dead people? Whichever one you are talking to doesn’t seem healthy. Do take some time for yourself and your mental health.

Yankee indoctrination is real real 😂
lost cause propaganda
Errr... Maybe you hadn't heard, but the war is over.... This is historic film and some of the rarest film captures there are. Propaganda... Laughable. Propaganda for what? Your narrative or?
Another indoctrinate yankee. All wars are bankers wars. History is written by the Victor's.
