A massive search by law enforcement is underway around the home of Christopher & Katie Proudfoot while it's being reported the Proudfoots fled their home.

I’ve heard of cases where parents of children that went missing 20 plus years ago kept the same phone number and would not move in case their child tried to contact them. Leaving the home he would come back to if he left on his own says it all.
I said that to my husband. We’ve been itching to move closer to family and I said I’d stay and rot in a house I hate never changing my number or lock codes just in case my child returned. No matter how long it took.
Heck I’d probably end up sleeping in my kids room just from the grief…

In 2003 a 13 year old girl named Tabitha Tuders went missing on the way to her bus stop here in Nashville. All these years later her parents are still in the same house, same phone number, for that exact reason, hoping maybe someday.....🙏💔

As an #actuallyautistic middle aged person, I'm so relieved to finally see nationwide coverage of this case. Usually LE as well as justice system doesn't give 2 sh*ts about us. In my area in the Ozarks, a few years ago a mother killed her own 16 year old autistic daughter, then BURNED HER BODY ON THE PROPERTY. It was the last case of the judge's career, and that mofo let her off scott free.
I'm really tired of all these non-autistic alleged autism "experts" weighing in. ZERO neurotypical people are experts on autism! As good as their intentions may be, they just don't know anything about it, they don't understand, they don't usually try to understand (based on my experience of 11 years since diagnosis mid-life with medical professionals & abusive law enforcement people who have no business being in the field.)
It's true that none of us are exactly the same (I wanted to credit the folks who have called in and pointed this out). Please, other #actuallyautistic adults call in, comment, contribute! LE loves to abuse us, shoot us, kill us, but you rarely see that on the news. As I was doing the right thing a few years back, REPORTING a stolen trailer full of work tools that was hidden on my property, I had 2 cops in Fort Worth pull their guns on me before I finished saying the word "autistic". (I was trying to explain that I will seem nervous to them because I'm autistic, I was only witness, was nervous I wouldn't remember all the details.) No good deed goes unpunished.
LE, all first responders, doctors, nurses, judges need to update their education beyond the 1970s myths/stereotypes about autism. When in an emergency situation or, for example, when I'm in a hospital for relatives, the lights and beeps and smells and noises all put me into meltdown and I freeze, literally cannot speak/find the words when needed.

There have been storys about children abducted in the 60s-90s, and their parents never moved, never changed their phone numbers. They stayed in their home and kept there phone numbers in hopes that one day their child would find their way home, or call them. One parent had been waiting 30 years, and got the call from their abducted adult child. Quiet a difference between those parents and the Proudfoots.
My child goes missing there is no way in hell I’d let the Sheriff department handle my case. I’d be creating holy hell to get the FBI involved.
Sadly, this along with other side effects have destroyed the neighbors lives and privacy. I'm sure they all want to help find Sebastian but imagine people invading your neighborhood all day and night. I feel for them as well. No matter what anyone says,I still don't and never will believe that an autistic kid walked off in the middle night with no shoes and has not been seen anywhere by anyone or any camera.

To the Poudfoot neighbors: sorry, but it’s just an unfortunate side affect of increased “irritations” when a child is missing.
Regardless of the annoyance of having increased traffic and drone activity etc it is just part of the fallout to having the positive of increased visibility for Sebastian and that is far more important than your discomfort.
Katie, her sorry excuse of a husband and his family don't give a dam about sebastion. Not all step families but sebastians don't care he's missing probably relieved. Seth is a CARING, LOVING, GENUINE DAD. Sebastian wanted to live with his dad ... Chris Proudfoot is the one who kept Sebastian from his dad . Chris told Seth he would talk to Katie about Sebastian living with his dad, She would have agreed to let Sebastian go to live with his dad .You see how QUICK Katie packed her bags and left with Chris. But it's Chris who didn't want Sebastian to be with his dad. Chris needed to SILENCE Sebastian cause the child was being ABUSED. ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW LONG ....He was in Sebastian room that night.
