Not many airports in the world where passenger wants to come early or do an early check in, except when the passenger departing from Singapore. There is so much to see at Changi Airport. 😊

Seems to be a thing for people who transfer through Changi, then they can go spend the day in Singapore, that is why it's in the Arrival hall.

First part of video was Boarding tickets and Luggage stickers, 2nd part was check in for Bags, Super easy and fool proof, Yes there was lovely people to help if needed. Was very straight forward. You will be fine.

Yes you can! Once checked in , You could go into Singapore or anywhere you want to go and come back if you got the time. So you have much freedom as you want. You will have tickets and bags checked in so the day is to yourself, Your then free to go through immigration anytime at the airport only then once you do that your stuck air side of the airport and wont be able to go back out.
Untill then you have the choice you can do what you like.

Early check-in is only available in T1 right? So I guess even my airline departure ticket it says, let's say, terminal 2, I can still do early check-in and watch the public areas in any other terminals right? Thanks in advance.
Easiest access is via T1, Early check in is located within The Jewel, no issues regarding T2 departure, long as your airline allows early checkin , then no issues. As we flew jetstar and it was departure T4 , but early checkin is available. So which terminal you leave from seems to be no issue, long as your airline allows early checkin.

Is early checkin available for Japan Airlines at Changi ?
Yes i believe they started early check in again in December 2023, When we did this video they didn't. Might want to fact check us but now i believe they do early check in. What we see on Japan airlines site that they have resumed early check in at Changi.

What brand of checked luggage was on the video? Where can I purchase one?
That luggage was bought at Pratunam Market in Thailand ( see our Pratunam Market video) was a no name brand but the quality has been good, No issues with it at all so far. Thanks for feedback. That was suitcase, The back pack was a Osprey 46L Porter Backpack.

Yes we are Australian, Yes SGD dollars as your in Singapore. Cards can be used anywhere, Long as your bank is aware your travelling. We always carry both, Some cash and card. Thanks for feedback.

hi, if i will do an early check in online, can i go to checkin kiosk to print my luggage tag and bag drop? how about the hand-carry bag/luggage, there's no need for bag tag? thanks
Hi, You got me there, i can not answer that for you as im not sure myself. If you don't find that answer, Then it might be safer to check in at the jewel in person. The bag tag for carry on, i don't recall any bag tag issue , we flew with Qantas, though other airlines might have their own systems dealing with that.

Hi there, are we able to clear immigration/enter transit area immediately after early check in? or do we still have to wait 3 hours before our flight
You can enter/clear Immigration soon as you early check in. So NO you don't have to wait 3 hrs, We cleared immigration with about 6hrs before flight and relaxed on the transit side of the airport.

Yes you can, we went to transit area about 5 hrs early.

Yes its within the Jewel shopping complex and its on same level as the arrival level. At start of video we are at departure level and took escalator down 1 level to arrival level and early check-in is on that level. Very well signed.

Awesome video. Silly question perhaps but we only gonna have hand luggage any where to safely leave while walking around or doing one of the free tours or is it best to just keep with.
Hi, thanks for compliment, regarding storage YES for sure you can store luggage so u can be hands free, if you search Smarte Carte Changi airport, they will store you luggage for a fee. Hope that helps. We appreciate the feedback.
